IbanezJem Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 My wife was only half-joking when she wondered "if we`ll all get washed away". 1
Rhyta Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 A bit cool this morning but will be in the 60's later today. Leaves are falling off the trees in earnest, beautiful blue skies. Got lots of rain earlier in the week, huge puddles in the driveway. Best of all it snowed in the mountains, our water year is looking up.
driventotheedge Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) Full sunshine and nearly 60 degrees. First time we've not had rain in like 2 1/2 weeks. :dweez: :dweez: Edited October 30, 2021 by driventotheedge
invisible airwave Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 (edited) Dear California, Let it be November. Thank you. Sincerely, someone sick of these heat waves. Edited November 13, 2021 by invisible airwave
Fordgalaxy Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 The "atmospheric river" has apparently changed directions as it's not currently raining.
driventotheedge Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 (edited) The "atmospheric river" has apparently changed directions as it's not currently raining. For a fukking change.4.60 inches of rain in November and we're not even 1/2 way thru the month. :( Edited November 13, 2021 by driventotheedge
driventotheedge Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 62 degrees and sunny yesterday. An all-time record for the date. My wife's nephew and I went for a nice afternoon motorcycle ride. On December 1st even. :)
goose Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Unrecognizable weather today. The sky has a gray hue to it and appears to be releasing small drops of water. Can anyone explain what might be going on? :P A much needed storm. 1
jamie Posted December 7, 2021 Author Posted December 7, 2021 it's been in the high 50's today after weeks of unusually hot weather, even for California in November standards. 90 degrees fahrenheit in November or December just feels depressing to me.
Nova Carmina Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 It's going to be 75F here in the mid-midwest (where 30-year norm is more like 45). Windy, gusts up to 50mph.
Rhyta Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 (edited) 31 and sunny after a big snowstorm last night, about 8 inches. It looks like a winter wonderland, haven't seen this much snow in several years. Had to shovel off the steps and walkways twice and more is coming tomorrow. We sure need it and it makes it really seem like Christmas is almost here :D Edited December 15, 2021 by Rhyta 1
Principled Man Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 (edited) 65° and humid in Western Wisconsin. The windy storm system should whoosh thru the area around 9:00 pm. High of 30° tomorrow! No snow expected for at least the next two weeks, and I'm OK with that..... :sundog: Update: The big storm system roared through the Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa region. Tornadoes on the Minnesota side of the River. Unconfirmed reports of tornadoes in my area. My little neighborhood appears to be unharmed. I don't even see any branches on the ground. :ebert: Edited December 16, 2021 by Principled Man

Weakly Criminal Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Near record highs and incredible humidity in DFW. Rain coming tonight with a front and much more seasonal temps this weekend. Thank goodness, I've been jonesing for a chili.
Tinwoodsman Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 ... blowing snow snakin' down the street this morning, sundogs came out to playay in the afternoon and it is a balmy minus thirtyish windchill. Football weather! wrap it up!
IbanezJem Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Hard to tell what the weather`s like... it`s too misty to see
driventotheedge Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 We actually got about a half inch of snow night before last. That's an occasion in this part of the world. 2
Tinwoodsman Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 10 centimeters of snow, so far ... on the deck railing, and more on the way in the scenic Qu'Appelle Valley. I might have to shovel my way out tomorrow. 1
driventotheedge Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) 4 to 6 inches of snow was predicted overnight and we got none.............however, it started at 5 AM and it is pouring now. Edited December 26, 2021 by driventotheedge 1
goose Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Roads are a sheet of thick ice under a layer of snow. 20 car pile up in Washoe Valley, I80 closed east and west. Luckily I can walk where I need to be. 2
