Although I do sometimes enjoy Sweet Miracle or Nocturne on an equal level. But overall, Earthshine ftw!
Segue Myles
I think Rush wrote their best short songs in the eighties, with the exception of Bastille Day. It is just a shame that after MP, we had to lose out on further epic songs for a while.
Segue Myles
I think Signals was the worst Rush album up to that point, aside from FBN, and the worst up until RTB, and it only avoids bottom five coz it got worse after CP came out (with the exception of VT). Segue Myles
I think 2112 has a second half as great as any classic of the time period. But it suffers due to the fact it has an absolute masterpiece on the first side. It is lopsided due to the fact the first side is genius level, but it doesn't take away from the fact the second half is AMAZING!
fraroc
Geddy Lee is by far the most talented member of Rush Actually thats a pretty popular opinion. People usually give that accolade to Alex or Neil. I'm not sure if u are kidding or just ill-informed. No, are you kidding? People CONSTANTLY kiss Alex's ass all the f***ing time. That One Guy
The more I listen to Caress Of Steel, the more I understand why it was panned by many critics. After seven years of Rushing I rate it as "ok". :)
Segue Myles
Caress Of Steel is the bands best seventies album (except the Xanadu record).
patjnev
Alex Lifeson's solos are all played on one string. I've yet to test this out by learning all his solos but I believe this little tidbit was put on Rush's website as a joke

Lorraine
Bottom Line: It's unpopular to have an unpopular opinion about Rush. We mustn't have any cracks in the Rush fan mold! :laughing guy: Edited October 7, 2015 by Lorraine

Alex can be a funny guy at times but I think some kiss his ass or say something like "He's hilarious" even when it's an old man type joke.

AnEggplant
The Fountain of Lamneth is better than 2112 and tied with Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres.
