OldRUSHfan
Our cat died this morning. He had an aggressive cancer. I don't equate the life of an animal with a human being, nevertheless it is painful and hard to watch an animal die a slow and agonizing death. Cats have mastered well the art of suffering. Never a cry escapes from them. They go find a place apart where they can die alone. Rest in peace, Henry. Condolences, Lorraine!!! http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/cry/cryingeyesout.gif

Xanadu
Lorraine, I am also so sorry about your cat. It's so hard to lose any close companion, human or not. And what made me sad today besides reading about that was reading about the country singer Joey Feek, who is dying of cancer and she has a baby daughter. Sure made me realize that the things that have been getting me down lately are really nothing in comparison. :(

Narps
Well folks I took some time off a while ago and came back and gave it a shot. Just not feeling it around here anymore. I went down to the Myrtle Beach SC campaign headquarters of one Mr Donald Trump yesterday and have decided to volunteer all the time I have available that my health issues will allow. All the haters can hate and all the few liberal/socialist/commies around here can too. This country needs a real leader (in spite of what our lib lying @ss media wants to feed you) for a change to lead us out of this PC hellhole this country is becoming and I need a mission in life right now. I am not gonna be on or posting for a good while and maybe forever. I love or at least care about dearly many folks around here and would love to stay in touch via PM if you wish. I get buzzed on my phone via email when I get a message so feel free if the mood strikes you. Some I already communicate with via Fakebook anyway.Take care guys and gals. Its been real... :) Trump/Cruz 2016 stop the madness Edited December 1, 2015 by Narps

I agree we need bold new leadership and Im glad you found your guy. I'm glad you're excited enough to work it. Enjoy, meet cool new people, feel inspired. We'll still be here to argue what decade Permanent Waves belongs in when you come back.

My condolences :( You are right about cats - they don't let on that they're not feeling well until it's a full blown crisis. We've had to put down a few over the years and it is heart breaking. They don't know what's going on and they are scared to be at the vet's office. But I have held them all as the vet administers the drugs so they know they are loved until the very end. So sad. Just know he is in a better place and will be waiting there for you. I know all of mine will be there when I eventually join them.

Just know he is in a better place and will be waiting there for you. I know all of mine will be there when I eventually join them. When we have brought them to a vet (or had one come here) to have them put down, I have done the same. We usually only do that if the cat has no more real quality of life left and is just lingering. And I have tried to do as much as I can for them when it comes time for them to die, but in Henry's case, if you had told me Sunday morning that he would be dead twenty four hours later, I would not have believed you. I had no idea he was that bad. He ate and drank and acted no different than he had been. In the evening he vomited, and that was the beginning of the end. When I saw him looking for a place where he could go and not be disturbed, I knew that was it for him. Anyway, Ctbadger, thank you for being kind enough to leave a message. The Analog Cub
I'm sorry to hear about your cat, Lorraine. It's hard losing a pet, I've gone through it before too, and was worried last week it was gonna happen again soon, but it wasn't nearly as bad as we feared.
