J2112YYZ
I would have to think about my full list for a bit but I remember "The Power Of Love" by Huey Lewis and The News being my favorite song back when I was a kid in the 80s.

ILSnwdog
Smithereens—Behind a Wall of SleepSmithereens—Blood and Roses I LOVE the Smithereens! Not sure if I would classify them as pop though. The closest thing they ever had to a "hit" would be Girl Like You.

Many of them are from the early eighties. Love that Def Leppard one, B-52s, A-Ha (wasn't that lead singer stunning??), The Knack (I think I was the only one I knew who loved that song!), Der Kommisar, Pat Benatar (I loved that little gal!), and one of my all time favorites which always sent me soaring no matter when I would hear it "That's What I Like About You".

Rutlefan
Top 10 "FM" songs. Brilliant! It's easy to mention my top 10 songs, but RADIO songs? Hmmm, I didn't listen to most of the groups that had radio songs (nothing says "fun" like '80s radio music; just thinking of Cindy Lauper brightens my day), but ok, here it goes, the countdown to #1: 10. The Romantics' What I Like About You 9. Jane's Addictions' Jane Says 8. U2's Pride (In the Name of Love) 7. The Cars' Since Your Gone 6. Blondie's Call Me (Heart of Glass was the previous decade, otherwise...) 5. The Police's Invisible Sun (The Police could fill this list, and I can't stand Sting) 4. Kim Carnes' Betty Davis Eyes 3. The Cult's She Sells Sanctuary 2. The Smiths' How Soon is Now 1. Violent Femme's Blister in the Sun Unfortunately for this list, The Clash's Train in Vain and Gary Numan's Cars just missed the decade. And like The Police, The Pretenders could also fill this list, but there's only so much room. Edited October 14, 2013 by Rutlefan
