Steevo
The Church—Under the Milky WayThe Hooters—And We DancedThe Hooters—Satellite So much Church goodness in the 80s but really just that one made it to radio here, so ridiculously underrated. Loved All You Zombies by The Hooters as well.
presto123
Too bad the Hooters didn't stick around longer. Those guys could actually play and had such a unique sound. Check out the song Graveyard Waltz. Excellent!

Lorraine
The eighties was the worst decade (so far) of my almost sixty years. Reading these lists has brought back things I would rather forget. In many ways, the eighties had better music than the sixties. So much so, that I could not pick just top ten FM favorites. Impossible. Since I no longer own my extensive record collection, I will have to rely on my ever unreliable memory to try and compile a list: 1. Ashes to Ashes - David Bowie2. King of Pain - Police (anything off of that album)3. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic - Police4. Ice House - Ice House5. Photograph - Flock of Seagulls6. I Ran - Flock of Seagulls7. Pyromania - Def Lepard8. Stand Back - Stevie Nicks9. Don't Stop Believing - Journey (and anything off of this album too)10.Pride (In the Name of Love) - U2 (anything off of this album as well) I wish I could remember more. If I could, I would probably compile a list of 50 just before 1985 alone. As I said, an amazing decade for music. driventotheedge
Here's three from a 1981 album that didn't get a lot of attention that IMO killed it. This was way before they went shit bubble gum with "We Built This City" and after the heyday of the Airplane. These songs are from the album "Modern Times" which is part of an excellent trilogy of albums, "Freedom At Point Zero" (with the song "Jane"), Modern Times" and "Winds of Change". These have the incomparable Grace Slick on vocals along with Mickey Thomas (he is the lead singer on "Fooled Around & Fell In Love" by Elvin Bishop) and the guitar player is a guy named Craig Chaquico. He tears it up.
