  1. I’m sorry to bring this news but I’m afraid GedsJeans is no longer with us. Shortly after Christmas I found out that she passed away. I’m guessing it was right after she disappeared from here. I don’t have details but in the very few messages we exchanged I could tell she had a heart of gold. I hope this thread never leaves page one for its obvious value but also to serve as a reminder to all that we never know what someone else is going through in their life.. Sometimes people with big hearts are hurting and keep it all inside. ..Rest In Peace
  2. Damn. . the day I come back here after being away for like a year and see this.. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing but I kind of had a feeling.. :(
  3. Back to wing cars.. The rarest was the 1970 Charger Daytona. They made 3 and one was the only winged car to be painted Plum Crazy and it actually had a factory sunroof! Another was sold originally to singer Robert goulet, a red one I think. I'm remembering this from an old magazine from the 80's I wish I could find pics online!
  4. Im building a 302 for my 97 ranger stepside right now, should have about 350-400 hp. Already got the 4 link and waiting for wiiiide wheels.. I show you fun when it's done :D
  5. I almost covered my eyes on some of hose corners lol, I think they only built 70 of these things with a Hemi and most got wrecked racing.. so cool to see it being driven like that though!! I can't believe I have't seen this vid before.. It should have been in english. I would have liked to hear the commontery in a language I UNDERSTAND. I know what you mean though, MM! I got to see a few of those in Ann Arbor after they came out, and for many years after too. There still are a few of them around SE Michigan. Lots of gear-heads Here! Most can trace their lineage To SE Michigan! Farmers who have Barns with lots of room to work on Cars and their engines! The guy that was the Best Man at my first Wedding, had a '51 Ford Victoria Std. Coupe his father had owned. He retored it to pristine condition inside and out. It wasn't done in time for t he wedding, but he was an engineer at Chrysler, and got a Chrysler Imperial for our ride...White, of course. I used to love watching Richard Petty in the 70's but I was too young to see him driving mopars.. Must've been a cool time. There's a bunch of wing cars up here in Alberta too including at least one black Hemi Daytona, a white Superbird with about 100 original km (no joke!) and a farmer that has about 8 wing cars. Its amazing what hides in people's garages..!

  7. How far automotive safety has come? It actually seems really easy to identify what they were going for. How far auto safety has come? They need to prove this?? Any way my post was sort of tongue in cheek.. I hate seeing nice old cars destroyed, even chevys! At least it was a brown one ;) '69 Charger R/T vs. '09 Charger R/T would've made people explode MY GOD man, Don't even joke. Unless the duke boys are drivin the '69.. BO! look out! There's a dip in the road- Hang on cuz.. YEEEHAW!!!

  9. cars today are intentionally designed to crumple but in '59 they were designed to withstand as much as possible. some point along the way they figured it was more important to use the car to save the driver instead of just save the car.. the real question here is what in the fcuk did they really prove by destroying an old classic car.. I mean it's not a mopar but still..
  10. Thanks! Always up for a muscle car, although John Rogers is the Dodge/Mopar expert! That charger looks like a 72. I think one of the band members might have a 70 though. There's definitely a mopar fan in the band, I had an album of theirs called 'Hemi-vision'

This reminds me.. I've often wondered how many individual notes are contained in an entire Rush concert. You could even break it down to the individual members. I'm guessing Neil would produce the most using all four limbs..
  12. Awesome album except it sounds like Ged's bass is comming from outside the room and down the hall.
  13. ..on the verge of turning into a Neil bashing thread which is typical :/ Any way I'll put a vote in for Jason Bonham
  14. am I the only one who gets the point of this thread? nobody's asking anyone to do math.. basically I think the OP's point is just does anyone think of Rush when they see 2112? answer is YES! we all do.. ..and don't let another Rush fan get at your bank card because they probably know your PIN!
