I'm trying to quickly finish the current Wheel of Time books. Right now I need to start book #7. Interesting series so far, even if my friends spoiled pretty much every detail for me.

For The Past Year i've been reading classics. Right now i'm reading Tom Sawyer for the 3rd time.

I'm hoping to pick up 'The DaVinci Code', which will be my summer read (usualy its HP, but the 7th one isnt out yet). After TDC I'll be going back to the classics (Probably The Secret Garden).

Currently I am reading David Eddings "Polgara - The Sorceress" again.

Read it 3 times in German now for the first in english.

Beside that I have to read "Contact" by Carl Sagan and "Do Androids dream of electric sheep" by Philipp K. Dick.

All of you, who are interested in Fantasy I can highly recommend David Eddings' novel'.

Start with the "Belgariad" (five books) first, then the "Maloreon" (also 5 books" and finaly "Belgarath" and "Polgara". I am sure you will ove them.

You're showing great taste there my friend. David Eddings is one of my favourite writers and I would recommend him to anyone. If you're not into fantasy, try 'Regina's Song' which is a present day mystery type story.

Its been a long time since I've read Cosmos (try 11 years ohmy.gif ) and, though its not an easy read, its well worth the effort.

I cannot commend you ghighly enough for mocing onto PKD. 'Do Androids...' is an excellent way to start as it is one of his more accessible novels (I really hate when they call him the author of 'Blade Runner' though). Other ones by him that I would recommend include 'The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch', 'A Scanner Darkly' (I think a PKD adaptation is the only thing that couild make me want to see a Keanu Reeves film), 'Martian Time Slip', 'Ubik' and 'The Man in the High Castle'. For his shorter works, 'We Can Remember it For You Wholesale', 'Minority Report' and 'Paycheck' are all superior to their respective film versions and worth dipping into.

As for myself, I'm on an autobiography kick at the moment. I've just finished 'Acting My Life' by Ian Holm and am currently reading 'Banksy' by Gordon Banks. Following this, it will probably be either 'Lord of Misrule' by Christopher Lee or 'Ghost Rider' by some obscure drummer you won't have heard of.

Wuthering Heights, so far it's kinda boring. I have never seen the movie and I suppose it's probably a good thing. at some points its been very good and at others very boring. I am having a really hard time getting through it, always a bad sign.

I've just recently read Twisted, by Jonathan Kellerman and I'm almost done with Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. Prior to those I read The Taking by Dean Koontz and The Romanov Prophecy (author's name escapes me). All have been quite good. I was a bit let down by the end of The Taking though.

The last thing I read was Rivers' Edge: The Weezer Story by John D. Luerssen... That was about 3 weeks ago tongue.gif My brain is taking a rest for the summer. It takes a lot of mindpower to get straight-A's through the whole year. It leaves you going schla03.gif through the whole summer, recuperating... The recuperating process is usually quite fun, though smile.gif

I read The Divinci code and then saw the movie. Then a friend said "you have to read Angels and Demons, it's even better... "

So I did. I just finished it. it was Ok. I really wasn't that impressed. I like the whole conspiricy story line and all, but I was disappointed with many aspects of it.

Those are the first fictional books I've read in a long long time, probably in the last 15 years.

Just finished 'The Caine Mutiny'. This is next:

Kind of a cheesy cover, but it's the first book that I know of to give the Russian's side of the story as well as ours.
