  1. for me a few bands i wished had longer or more sustained careers- Living Colour, Soundgarden, and the original King Crimson line up
  2. in no particular order... The Shield Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Star Trek: The Next Generation Pardon The Interruption Monty Python's Flying Circus Sportscenter Cheers All in the Family M*A*S*H Match Game As a side note, the Sopranos would have been number one for me, if it hadn't been for the epic failure that was season 6A and 6B, just an awful end to what had been a really great series to that point.
  3. QUOTE (alphseeker @ Aug 20 2008, 09:33 PM)After Red October, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, three great movies i have to say Sum of All Fears sucked, and yes it was because of that horrible actor Ben Affleck - While I agree with you that Sum of All Fears does suck (the film anyway, the book was excellent), it was not because of Ben Affleck. It would have helped if the people making the film had perhaps done more than quickly skim the book, or remembered it is in a series, in the middle, not a prequel to Red October, Patriot Games, etc. I'm also going to say that after I read the books, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger were not all that great either. Those films could have been so much better than they were. But oh well. I'll nominate one, Sphere. Another great book, horrible movie, and with that cast you'd think it would have been great, but even they couldn't help that bad script. Just awful
  4. Conan doesn't bother me all that much, never saw the original. While the original Rocky Horror film is a classic, it is a film adaptation of a stage production, and this wouldn't even be the first time a stage production has been brought to the big screen a second time (The Producers leaps to mind). What does bother me is, why do remakes, is Hollywood that bankrupt on original ideas?
  5. I must be in the minority then, I like this filming technique. I've yet to see an instance where I thought it didn't work well or detracted from what I was watching.
  6. have to go with "other" because Ferris Bueller is not on the list. Beter Off Dead is a close second.
  7. that was pretty funny, porbably would have been better if I could understand half of what he was saying. Slime, in answer to your question, go chronoligically, but skip CHasing Amy as it is the worst of Kevin Smith's films except for Jersey Girl. Mallrats, Dogma and Jay and Slient Bob Strike Back are all worth seeing.
  8. what a terrible movie. just absolutely awful. I didn't fall asleep at this one, because I figured if I stayed awake maybe it would get a little better, but it didn't. I'll never get that time back.
  9. Ceiling Unlimited, great song, but not as good as what's left in the running
  10. take a friend needs to take a hike
