Apparently both shows are going to end up on DVD at some point, but I haven't heard any details. Glad to know Coldplay is making a DVD of this tour. Will have to pick that up for sure. Since I wasn't able to go see them, I guess I'll be picking this up as well.

I did a little searching and found the setlist for the Vancouver show: Life In Technicolor Violet Hill Clocks In My Place Yellow Glass of Water Cemeteries of London 42 Fix You Strawberry Swing God Put A Smile Upon Your Face (Techno) Talk (techno) The Hardest Part (acoustic) - Chris piano Postcards From Far Away (piano instrumental) Viva la Vida Lost! Green Eyes Death Will Never Conquer (will) I'm A Believer (Neil Diamond Cover - acoustic) Viva La Vida (remix interlude) ------ Politik Lovers In Japan Death and All His Friends ---------- The Scientist Life in Technicolor ii The Escapist (outro) That's a damn good setlist. I'd buy that DVD. Or better yet, I'll have my new TV and my PS3 by then, so I'll get it on Blu-Ray.
theworkingman
Opening with Life in Technicolor and ending with Life in Technicolor ii is perfect. Both encores are pretty much perfect. For the most part that's a pretty perfect set list. And ending the second encore with my two favorite Coldplay songs.
invisibleairwaves
To be honest, the LIT/Violet Hill intro was a little slow, and following that with a relatively dull version of Clocks was really the only part of the setlist I didn't like. Everything after that was fantastic though. You have not lived until you've seen LIJ live.

Unfortunately, no (believe me, I've looked). We were somewhere around row 25, on the left-hand side facing the stage, directly behind Eddie Trunk and Chris Jericho (I think that's his name, some wrestler dude?), they were sitting together. When the orchestra started playing the 6DOIT overture did everybody there know they were going to play the whole thing? That's my favorite part of the concert. Raynman
I went to both Rotterdam shows which were used for S&A live. Also in Rotterdam Ahoy, I went to Simple Minds live in 1985. Some songs ended up on official releases: double 7 inch single Sanctify Yourself, and 12 inch of All the Things She Said. In Wembley Stadium, London at the Free Nelson Mandela concert in 1988 my Dutch flag can be seen at the end of the song Mandela Day by Simple Minds. This can be seen on the official concert video/DVD as well as on the official video for this song by Simple Minds.

Natch
I was at the Pink Floyd show at Nassau Coliseum where the "Delicate Sound of Thunder" concert was recorded. I also attended Paul McCartney's concert at Citi Field for the "Good Morning NYC" DVD. And, I was at the Guns N Roses concert at Giants Stadium where the live footage in the "Paradise City" video was shot. Can't think of any others at the moment.... EDIT: oh yeah, I was also at the Clapton / Winwood show at MSG that was recorded for a DVD.

Mr. Krinkle
RUSH in Tinley Park, IL 6/14/2007. Most of Different Stages was recorded there. This was during 2112 at that show. That version wasn't the one that made it to DS though. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll215/TPesch2112/195TFE061497009.jpg

My best friend and I scored our 1st front row Rush tickets for that Great Woods show (finally after catching every tour since '84). $400 was a LOT of money back then... hell, it still is! Anyway, you can clearly hear Brian yell "GEDDDDYYYYYYY" during 2112. Sorry 'bout that.
nobodys hero
I know Van Halen, Motley Crue and some of the other 80s hair bands recorded themselves when the played shows on the sunset strip. The recording equipment was right there. I don't know whether any of it ended up on an album, if so you'd hear my big mouth in the back ground.
