QUOTE (rushgoober @ Nov 20 2011, 09:52 AM) QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Nov 20 2011, 07:26 AM) QUOTE (Bastille Dave @ Nov 20 2011, 01:31 AM) Growing up in the 70's, everybody I knew had a Kiss album....... From 1975 through 1979, the walls in my room were COVERED with all things KISS. (Mom and Dad really loved that) It was KISS all the time, day and night. I wonder what they thought of some of the lyrics (if they were paying any attention) on some of the tunes Gene penned as well as a few others in the KISS collection.... I had a Kiss poster or two perhaps when I was that young, but not many. I seriously admired my friend's rooms that were plastered with Kiss posters. I did have the four interlocking posters from the Kiss solo albums, however, that I taped in the back to make one big poster - that was cool. And yeah, it's really funny that I was listening to Love Gun and other very suggestive songs at such a young age - obviously I had no clue what any of that meant until later. When I did finally realize it, I was shocked. Shock me! Plaster Caster....

  14. QUOTE (D3strukt @ Nov 11 2011, 11:13 PM) QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Nov 10 2011, 07:46 AM) Born Again Are we on the same page? 1983, Ian Gillan. Sabbath album? If so, then f**k yes! For me, Born Again is my 'heaviest' album. As far as calling something 'heavy?? Depends on what you want to call 'heavy', really. PT is a 'heavy' band...musically in some spots they are crushing and the lyrics can be pretty 'heavy' too at times. Loud? Agressive? Deep? I've got a Joni Mitchell album that has it's 'heavy' moments too... "Awaken" by Yes is a pretty 'heavy' song. I'd also say that a LOT of Alice in Chains is pretty friggin' heavy as well. Then there's Cygnus X-1....
  15. I know it's expensive.....but this is why they should film/record more than just one city. They don't need to make it a massive production. I just got the dvd yesterday. I will watch it sometime soon to see the Presto 'fix' as well as the overall performance. I've read lots of bitching about Geddy's vocals and the mix being horrible.. I don't have a 5.1 surround system. Just stereo L&R. I'm sure it's going to be pretty good.
  16. I was at my local Bust Buy last night and they had tons of them. $24.99.
  17. What was the 'flub' in Presto?? Best Buy has the blu-ray with a RASH T-Shirt for $24.99. Too bad I don't have a blu-ray player or I'd have the shirt too. Like I need another T-shirt.
