They’re f***ing great! Weightier than what’s on MFH.

They're not "new," per se.  They were recorded for MY FAVORITE HEADACHE, in 2000.

Yes, at the end.  I just jumped ahead to look for them.  They're called "Gone" and "I Am, You Are."  Both are on the mellow side, really.  Think "The Angel's Share" or "Still."  

 

Now back to where I left the narrative...

Chapters 35 and 36 are the "new" songs in the Audible book.

By the way. I can’t recommend the audible version enough.

 

Geddy is a fantastic narrator.

 

 

Listening to the chapter about his parents is incredible, harrowing and very touching.

Just downloaded my copy and listened to the songs.  Haunting and lovely.  Can't wait to start it.  I got my audio copy through Libro.fm, which I changed over to a couple of years ago after Audible made changes to their files.  I also like that my purchases give a local bookstore some funds which is nice.

Just listened to both, they sound pretty good, on par with most of the songs on My Favorite Headache. Hope he makes another solo record.

It might be my imagination, but the harmonies on the first song sound a little strained.  I get the impression that he recorded some vocal layers recently.

I am you are is the better song imo but gone is so emotional you can tell in his delivery. Ben is awesome!!!!!

The songs weren't released publicly until this week. The only way to hear it before this was the audio book which not all fans had access to. Get your facts straight before you decide what constitutes being a fan.

They are both great tracks.  It is simply so great to hear new material.

"I Am You Are" is the better of the two, for sure. "Gone" is OK, not as good as the ballads on MFH. It's just nice to hear his voice again.
