The sheer smallness of the amount of new music I've listened to this year renders me making a list here totally pointless. Still I do remember really enjoying the album Brave Faces Everybody by Spanish Love Songs and the album Marigold by Pinegrove.

Oh shoot, I forgot MisterWives, The Killers, and Green Day. Okay I can try a bit of a list with those five.

1. MisterWives - Superbloom

2. Pingrove - Marigold

3. The Killers - Imploding The Mirage

4. Spanish Love Songs - Brave Faces Everybody

5. Green Day - Father Of All...

Reunions by Jason Isbell and The Slow Rush by Tame Impalla are both also quite good.

Protomartyr – Ultimate Success Today

Idles – Ultra Mono

Fleet Foxes - Shore

Adrianne Lenker - songs

Paul McCartney – McCartney III

Paul McCartney - McCartney III

I was personally really underwhelmed by the latest Pearl Jam, and I liked the prerelease singles.

The whole philosophy behind the album, the musicians he brought in, the attempt to fall in line and get a "trendy" sound and most of all the songs.
