The sheer smallness of the amount of new music I've listened to this year renders me making a list here totally pointless. Still I do remember really enjoying the album Brave Faces Everybody by Spanish Love Songs and the album Marigold by Pinegrove.

I can't believe I listened to 10 albums released this year. The second half of the list is basically by default:

Fiona Apple – Fetch the Bolt Cutters

Wire – Mind Hive

Protomartyr – Ultimate Success Today

Idles – Ultra Mono

Fleet Foxes - Shore

Adrianne Lenker - songs

Paul McCartney – McCartney III

Bob Dylan – Rough and Rowdy Ways

Pearl Jam – Gigaton

Taylor Swift - Folklore

I was personally really underwhelmed by the latest Pearl Jam, and I liked the prerelease singles.

In no particular order:

Elder - Omens

Katatonia - City Burials

Paul McCartney - McCartney III

Haken - Virus

Trivium - What Dead Men Say

Ozzy's new album was actually better than expected

How dare you put Ozzy's bad album in! :smash:

The whole philosophy behind the album, the musicians he brought in, the attempt to fall in line and get a "trendy" sound and most of all the songs.
