Big Bang Theory

I think the show was really good up through season five. After that it turned into a bunch of rom-com garbage.

Most of my friends find the humor either unfunny or offensive. I tend to find it either worth a chuckle or unfortunately offensive. At any rate I'm told by many that it's garbage, but my family tends to enjoy it, especially Sheldon.

What do people find offensive about it?

Lots of things. Indian stereotypes, female stereotypes, nerd stereotypes...the list just goes on.

It's just not as funny as the much better Community. They don't use the same joke over and over again like that Bazinga crap. Abed is way funnier than Sheldon.

Six seasons and a movie! Come on, Sony!

I love Big Bang Theory. Everyone is normal on that show. There is nothing too controversial. It reminds me of tv in the 90s.

Pawn Stars

I liked Tru TVs Hardcore Pawn. I know a lot of it is staged but that show felt more like what I think the day to day happenings at a pawn shop would be like.

My response was about people finding it offensive. I can't imagine what its like to live in that kind of bubble.

As far as quality of the show, well that's subjective. Much to your point, after reading this I binge watched the first season of Community and I didn't find that very funny at all. In fact, I doubt I watch further seasons. IMO, BBT is a much more entertaining show than Community at least if you are comparing their first seasons. This of course is just my opinion.

I have a six-minute rule for TV, which is normally the first ad-break - if they haven`t impressed me yet, they`re dead forever? So many shows fall foul of it and I`d never watch something that was "trash", which rules out all seeing any reality TV.

I also watch Love Island USA. Noah Purvis got fired from the show because he was a gay porn star named Ethan. He was outed by a bunch of people on twitter.

The network's official reason for getting rid of him was that he provided false information on his application. He also lied about where he was from.

If there was a show that was just me staring back at myself for 50 minutes I'd watch it. It's trash but at least I'd know what I was getting.

So I take it that you don’t find Dave Chappelle to be funny?

Tell those morons that stereotypes are part of comedy.

My wife makes me watch a lot of HGTV.

All my choices are quality programming.

Me too. Add Love It or Lust It to that list.

Don't forget Flip or Flop.

For me it's Storage Wars. I know some of the stuff they find is planted and some of the conflicts are fake but I can't help it, I like it. How about you?

Yep, I can see that. Not sure I'd watch another epi, it was just a casual surf but I stuck with the trainwreck all the same, good staged conflict never goes amiss :hail:

Kobra Kai.

Critics love that show to be honest. Look at it's Rotten Tomatoes rating.

I loved the first 3 seasons of True Blood. Stopped watching after that. Parker Lewis Can't Lose is a guilty pleasure. It's basically early 90s Ferris Bueller meets Saved By The Bell.

It's still trash, though. With its goofy stereotypes, predictable plotlines, and over the top anti-PC content, Kobra Kai is irresistibly endearing trash tv.

RS hated Zeppelin at first. I remember Scott Stapp using that as a response to the bad reviews Creed got.

As for Creed, their early songs are tolerable not as bad as Nickelback and Trapt and I'll leave it at that.

They slagged Zep endlessly. I remember well. Sabbath too.
