Another very strong album.

 

Firstly a bit of useless trivia .... The landscape on the album cover is the Giant's Causeway from my neck of the woods .... approx 45 miles from my house.

 

Secondly, a rare Zeppelin song I do not like is on this album - 'D'Yer Maker' .... pseudo-reggae rubbish which i cannot have. Leave reggae to genuine reggae artists!!

 

As for the rest, some strong material here like 'Over The Hills' and 'The Ocean'

but my choice is 'The Rain Song' ..... an absolute gem of a ballad. It just has an epic build-up to it.

 

Honourable mention to 'No Quarter' ... another live set-piece which allowed JPJ to shine.

From Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy, the song I like best, and my favorite is "the Rain Song".

The opening track.

 

TSRTS is in my top 2 Zep songs.

 

A twelve-string never sounded so powerful.

I like this album so much more than Physical Graffiti, just me I guess. It was kind of a toss up between Ocean and Over the Hills, but I just love Over the Hills. Love Robert Plant's voice and also the lyrics.
