Good matchup. Not a huge fan of either but . . .

Bon Jovi's good stuff from the first 4 albums is heavier than Journey's material. Bon Jovi probably has more stuff I really, really dislike, though.

But Bon Jovi wrote the song they play at Gillette Stadium when the Patriots score a TD, so they get the nod:

Are all the band's songs about Jersey? I never picked up on that.

Phil is kind of his second home considering the philanthropy he’s done for it. Plus, his buds from Cinderella, are from there.

BTW, Cinderella>>>Bon Jovi for having the cajones to ditch their hair metal sound for Stones sounding songs Shelter Me and Heartbreak Station. They turned into Black Crowes at that time.

Journey by a mile. Clever songwriters and arrangers and JBJ can’t hold a candle to Steven Perry’s singing.

For me, Journey easily wins this.

But I've always like this BJ tune.

I read somewhere that they wanted to use it for Young Guns 2 but they couldn't (I forgot the reason). So, Blaze of Glory was specifically written for the movie.

It's the only Bon song I like. In fact, I love the song.

Richie Sambora never looked that good ever again. :sigh:

We were in Orlando in 2018 and got tickets for Bon Jovi. Old JBJ's voice had ....ehem..... seen better days! Edited by zepphead

Journey and its not close. The first 2 JBJ albums are decent and the 3rd album had those 3 monster hits but the rest of the album did not do much for me. Journey had more consistent & deeper albums over a much, much longer period. I have seen both live (JBJ once in the early 2000's and Journey multiple times in the 2000's) and Journey is way better live.

Journey's big hits are every bit as good as JBJ's and they have more of them. Plus their secondary / deep cuts are way better.

Don't take me wrong, their actually is plenty of big JBJ hits I like and the first couple albums were good. But JBJ is no match for Journey. Journey is way better.

Journey by a mile. The first 2 Jovi albums are great but after that forget it.

Jonny!

I fuckking love you mate. I love the first three Bon Jovi records. "New Jersey" is ok but it was all downhill from there.

I fuckking HATE STEVE PERRY JOURNEY.

"Infinity" is great.

I really can't vote now.

I love the first three Journey records too!!! FUcKK STEVE PERRY. He ruined the band. JMO

This is tough Pat. I don't know how I missed this one.

I hate Jon too for firing Sambora.

Fuckking lead singer disease.

LSD.

I'm going to take a hike on this one.

Both bands have great records but at the end of the day they both suck my asshole.

So....

Recap....

Don't hate me. I know my shit.

First three Journey albums are EPIC. Like the label. LOL!

First three Bon Jovi albums are EPIC. Mercury Records. lol

After that? Fukk it. Hit or miss.

Myles actually makes amazing sense yet again. I agree with him.

Fuckk the San Francisco Giants.

Oh and "The Sopranos" which I truly loved and I hate TV series.

Horrible end.

Fuckk Neal Schon.

I know so many stories thanks to my connection and friendship with Y&T.

Didn't Neal try to fire Carlos from Santana?

I hate Neal Schon.

Short man's complex Ego Tit.

Sorry Pat. "Raised On Radio" is AOR SHITE.

"Keep The Faith" everyone! 2020 sucks ass too.

I hate that Bon Jovi record.

"New Jersey" was the beginning of the end.

GOODNIGHT!

Let's go "Round And Round" about this tomorrow.

shite bands

HAHAHA!

"I LOVE YOU MAN"

Fuckk Bon Jovi and Journey.

Y&T had more metal balls then either of these two weak pussy bands.

Yet thanks to a coin flip Y&T ended up on A&M Records. SHITE.

Journey got the CBS deal. Look it up man. I don't lie. Fuckk people on here who rip me for my knowledge.

Herbie Herbert. Look him up!

I know a lot man.

Journey was great until they were told to hire some fruit loop to sing.

Journey was a lot like RUSH to me man.

RUSH did their debut. Got them on the map.

Neil came in on "Fly By Night." They were exciting.

Then "Caress Of Steel" hit the market. One of the greatest fuckking albums ever made on the Earth.

But Mercury hated it. Fans hated it. Gene and Paul thought it was goofy.

So what?

"Down The Tubes Tour." Duh. You real Rush Fans know the History.

But then it's Journey. A killer jam band. Dunbar on drums. Hello!!!!!!?????????

After "Next" CBS was going to drop them too. So they were forced to get the pansy Steve Perry to save the day and make them hits.

Good for them.

But for my ears, f**k Steve Perry Journey. Steve Augeri. He sucks. Jeff Scott Soto is great but in Journey? I saw it. JUNK.

Arnel? GARBABE!

JOURNEY IS THE WORST BAND THAT EVER MADE IT BIG!

I remember seeing Foreigner, Def Leppard and Journey headlined. AT&T PARK San Francisco a few years ago.

My dad was 81 then.

He loves Def Leppard and loved Foreigner.

My father couldn't believe how bad Journey was.

He thought Arnel was a poser laying on the stage in full black leather trying to look hot for all the 50 year old women up front.

It was a disgrace.

After "Lights" my awesome dad had enough and we left 5 songs into the set.

I wish Deen was back on the drums. Steve Smith looked like a f***ing skeleton on the drums. It was a complete joke.

The Oompa Loompa Neal Schon is a great guitar player, but he can suck off.

Satchel from STEEL PANTHER makes Neal Schoon look like a little 18 year old girl trying to play the skin flute for the first time in the back of a high school gym.

Schon Sucks.

Bring it on.

Let's debate.

"While the servant waits..... the master baits."

Love,

Sorry Pat. I'm not voting on this pansy poll.

Both bands suck hard after their first three records.

Nice connection Pat. Feel the erection of nothingness.
