cygnify
I guess I have to be careful with my choices because I am a fusion fan and could list several Mahavishnu, Return to Forever, Billy Cobham, Bruford, Chick Corea, Brand X, Dixie Dregs, Weather Report, etc. songs that rock harder than most "rock" bands Also, "rock" bands that are primarily instrumental have too many great choices to narrow down my favorites (The Aristocrats, Steve Vai, Jeff Beck, Focus, Yngwie) anyway, among "rock" bands that are primarily non-instrumental 1.) La Villa (on odd days), YYZ (on even days)2.) King Crimson - "Level Five" (Monday, Wednesday, Fridays) Larks Tongues in Aspic II (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.) Larks Tongues I (Sundays.) Red (Every day), Fracture3.) Allman Brothers - In Memory of Elizabeth Reed (January - May), Jessica (June - December) Honorable mentions to: Frank Zappa lots - maybe Peaches or WatermelonDream Theater - Dance of Eternity (an insane collection of time signatures!)Steven Wilson - VermillioncoreELO - Fire on High (always loved this jam)ELP - Hoedown, Fanfare, Pictures at..ELQ (just kidding)Opeth - Ending CreditsYes - Heart of the Sunrise (ok, it does have vocals among the incredible instrumental awesomeness)
