  1. I am honored and humbled frankly. Wow... the Professor. THANK YOU. I just noticed tonight..... Maybe I'm really just an oblivious idiot... but when did that switch happen? Either way..wow. As a message board guy contributing all the way back to the AOL board in 93' (as Rushfan357) I am flattered. Professor. An honored name in Rush fandom. Rock on peeps!!

  6. It's amazing how many people and groups are supporting Ukraine and/or criticizing Putin. The only person I've heard of supporting him is our former president but he was in bed with him all along so that's not a surprise.

  13. Yeah I'm not sure you're going to solve this dilemma treeduck. As I type this, it's tied. I kinda hope it stays as a 50/50 ..... BOTH albums deserve it.

  16. Getting back to The Trees. Today I had delivered 50 Hybrid Willow Tree cuttings. I am building the mother of all privacy hedges, and rather than pay 90 bucks per tree, I paid $1 per cutting. All I have to do is put them in 3 inches of water, keep them in water. They will root in a week or 2. Plant them 2 inches in the ground and they will be 5 ft high by October. So what made me happy today? In about 90 minutes the little f***ers, in the 1 gallon water jugs I have them in to root, have sucked up about an inch of water in each jug. The tops of the cuttings are bleeding water..... They are going to grow like crazy.... Yeah.... little known secret about Greparoo. I love trees. Tomorrow, I am going to start incubating... from Oregon... seeds for a Sequoia and a Redwood. They will grow and thrive here outside Charlotte. I wont live to see it, but after my daughter inherits the house she is going to have 40 foot trees in the yard. If that's part of my legacy..then f**k yes.

  17. Have only listened via my phone so far, but the sound is more reminiscent of the ESL film than the LP, which is a good thing in my book! I never really liked Vital Signs.... but I like THIS Vital Signs. They were killing it.

  20. It looks like it's pretty much a 50/50 split here ... I think that is appropriate as both albums have great merits. Nice to see them both being appreciated!!

  27. My god. My circle of friends had common friends with the OBM back in the day. Back when Metallica was still growing...before the first album. It was an insane time, knowing and hoping that these guys would find success..... then they did. The first record was no surprise.... but 2 and 3... holy f**k.

  28. I get it. I thought perhaps it was a 'custom' name. Either way, my sentiment is the same. Am humbled for the name, and to be part of this community. As an IT guy who at 54 has no intention of ever not learning new things... I love the name, and would not object at all to ..permanance. As the Weapon of Mass Seduction from CP, 'Professor' is a great add to that internet legacy. For what it's all worth. Because in real life I pay it forward and teach through partnership and shared understanding. I wish you guys could see the smile on my face right now. p/g

  29. It's a grand title worthy of only those who have made over 3000 posts. You move up to the title of "The God Of Balance" when you reach 5000! But, if 73 finds "The Professor" particularly fitting for you, I think (?) he can just make it permanent.

  33. On Vital Signs from "Live In YYZ 1981", it's amazing how isolated the guitar is to the left channel. There a little guitar on the right channel, but it's very distant. I like it. I wonder if the whole recording will be like this....
