  1. For me "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" is the last EPIC Iron Maiden album. Would you agree with me Maidenheads or would you disagree? I'm blasting this album yet again and it never gets old. It's so METAL. It's so MELODIC. It's so PROGRESSIVE! For me it's a perfect album. No wonder they toured last summer with a "Seventh Son" setlist! They are also releasing a MAIDEN ENGLAND 1988 double cd!!!!!!! "Killers" will always be my favorite Maiden record. Second place is "Piece Of Mind." Third is "Seventh Son." "Somewhere In Time" would be next.

  4. Lix, I also didn't like the recent twist either. I mean, she's snow. Like you I understand why she felt that way, but this goes against what Snow would do. And that guy that crashed..and won't go home. What's your take on him being (I can't remember his show name) the kid that's trying to find his Dad? UMMMM....LIX, Are you going to me answer me or what,....LOL Sorry, I didn't answer because I really don't have much to say about that guy yet (is his name Greg?). It was obvious from the start that he had ulterior motives, and we just found out what they are this week. Is he really trying to find his dad, or is he trying to expose them? No telling at this point... maybe both?

  6. Yeah, I was there in 97 or 98. There was some work done. It didn't look like Cheers, but it was half bar, half gift shop. I still have that shirt I bought. I was in the bar in '86, when the show was still on the air. True, the inside doesn't look like the bar from the show, and is actually very small, but I wasn't disappointed. The outside is totally the outside used in the show. I'm a sitcom guy, and may have to rank "Cheers" as my favorite show ever. All the bits people mentioned above: yep, totally remember them. I've seen them all a dozen times.

  7. So, lemme get this straight... if they don't tour and perform according to your wants and needs, then they are not good people? Interesting way to look at being a 'fan'.

  8. The story behind the song is this......John wrote it in his Aunt Mimi's house after hearing the song Please by Bing Crosby with the line "please lend your little ear to my pleas".

  10. Not surprised... I still wish I could go to that ceremony (I'd be the guy yelling from the balcony, "In your face, in your face!") So, Gangst', ol' buddy, if you happen to have two more tickets hangin' around down there in California, and you "just don't know" what to do with them, you can send them up here to Canadia, addressed simply to "TBR." "Our Candian mailman" knows me.

  13. 50 years................sigh. :codger: On Feb. 9th of next year, a mere 10 1/2 months from now, it'll be the 50th anniversary of their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show when myself and many, many other people watched that fateful night as nearly the whole world changed in a few short , three minute segments.

  15. Hiya Duckie How are you my arbor dwelling feathered friend? I'm good thanks, how are you these days? :hi: :smoke: Busy, busy, busy.... nary a dull moment at our house. I'd like to say there's a light at the end of the tunnel, but I don't think there is any time soon - So we enjoy the busy-ness as much as we can and dream of those times we're told we will miss when we have nothing to do. I was just gonna say, one day when all is quiet in the Sunny/Digi household you'll be like "Wow man I sure miss those busy as heck days now!!" (I have to keep subtracting emotes from my earlier post in order to add a couple here) I was wondering how you were adding them and it wouldn't let me! ;) These are skills you need for when you begin your Sunny fan club forum! :hi: [thinkingaboutasunnyfanclubforum] Who will be my moderator's?[/thinkingaboutasunnyfanclubforum] One of your many fans! 17. Damn! They still played at high schools at this point? I didn't live here in WI back then (was in PA), but that's only about 3 hrs north of my current location. Nice little drive....this coming from someone who's driving 15+ hours to Hershey...the time doesn't count though as I'm visiting my mom as well for a combined vacation and two shows on the way back home! Woohoo!!

  19. For me 7th son of a 7th son was the last epic Maiden album. Liked No prayer for the Dying and Fear of the Dark and some of the latter work with Bruce is ok. But epic? Not to my ears. 7th son was the last of a string of epic albums that, to my ears, started with Piece of Mind.

  22. Sadly and ironically, two of Britain's most celebrated writers, Aldous Huxley and George Orwell, warned us all about this very same lunacy. Discouraging/Banning individual relationships is one large step towards the realization of Huxley and Orwell's dystopias.

  30. Stupid bullshit. Kids should never be taught to ride a bicycle either because they might fall. I'd love to see the poster/ad promoting this trash: 2 little 7 year olds smiling and laughing as they sit in the school cafeteria having lunch together..A GIANT RED 'X' COVERING THE SCENE with the caption "Just say 'no' to best friends"

  32. Bob, I'm very sorry to hear that your beloved doggie is no longer with us. :( I'm glad that she's no suffering anymore so take comfort in that fact. After while, when you're ready, get another puppy to fill the large void...You'd be surprised how soon you can recover from the loss with another furball to play with. Hope all will be okay at the workplace!! :)
