  1. Maybe they're on here making up crazy polls for their bored fans to take.
  2. Hey, I was just thinking of you earlier! Good to see you and glad you are well. That's awesome! Congrats and glad to see you back. Hey! You're back! And congratulations :) Hi! Yeah I kind of missed it here!
  3. I married one that I met at the Clockwork Angels show in Kansas City!
  4. I hear you on that. I think many of us feel very betrayed.
  5. OMG I thought that was Narp at first. :LMAO: Now that you mention it...
  6. I like a man with a six-pack as long as he's not overtly buff, I can't stand bodybuilders or guys that try to hard to be like them, but if a man has them from hard work because of his job, or if he does have them from working out but doesn't go crazy at the gym, I find that attractive. My sweetie has a nice toned tummy and it makes me go . But yeah, I think that ladies like it because it shows a man has discipline and most-likely cares about his health. I also think some women like to date guys who look like that the same reason some men like to date really over-the-top pretty and thin women, it's kind of a trophy look-at-me thing, but that depends on the person.
  7. No affair, not at all. It just looked that way to some people because my ex and I were so private about things for the most part. But like I said, we still lived in the same apartment and made an appearance here or there, so it looked strange to some people.
  8. I am actually HORRIBLE at song titles myself, always have been. I can sing all of the lyrics to a song and be like "What was the name of that song again?"
  9. We weren't lying, we just weren't announcing anything.
  10. The horrible and sad yet somewhat amusing thing is that because we did chose to keep things so private, because we did still live together, and because sometimes we still went out together without letting people know what was going on, I lost a lot of friends because they all assumed things that were false. Even my ex regrets not telling people that we were having problems because of the backlash we faced, which was rather shocking to be honest. People had NO IDEA what was going on for nearly a year and thought I had left my ex for my new partner, which was so untrue. As of last week I even had somebody that I thought was a mutual friend of my partner and I, try to talk him out of getting married to me because of what they thought they knew about me. So yes, he knew for sure.
  11. Eeeep, I'll have to add that when I have a minute!
  12. Thank-you Eagle, I just needed to get settled in here and take care of some things first.
  13. Thank-you Lorraine, that means so much to me. Somehow, around the same time, friends and family started to see what was going on, they knew I was more keeping up appearances, and so everybody just started to reach out to me, they even opened up their homes, tried to help me find jobs in other areas. I had so many places to go, Utah, Idaho, my hometown, San Francisco, Oakland. It was pretty damn amazing, but I decided on... Michigan because that's where my new love lives. We have a great little house and it's been a bit of a culture shock but I think for the most part I'm settling in nicely. Hope you brought a winter coat.... ;) Winter coat, winter boots, winter gloves, wool socks. None of them are as warmed as I hoped.
  14. I had tickets in Chicago, Geddy side, first upper section, lost those. Now I'm Alex side in the cheaper seats. I guess my wallet is grateful but something is very screwy with the ticket sales this time around.

  16. Hi Narp, great to see you, I missed you very much as well!
  17. Hi everybody, I am not sure who still reads this but I've checked my messages and have received many check-ups from all of you, which I appreciate. I am sorry I've been somewhat absent. This morning I'm sitting at home with a sore throat and I was going back, reading up, and catching up on some of my old threads. Well, here's what's up. While my marriage did not survive, I definitely have. I spent a lot of time with my therapist and just started working on loving myself, feeling better about myself, and starting a new life. During that time I confided in a very small number of close and trusted friends that supported me, kept me going, gave me ideas and helped me very much because sometimes they knew exactly what I was going through. One of my dearest friends was a man who had been through a lot of similar things in his marriage and so... we really bonded. So, it got to the point very early on last year where my Uncle saw how my ex-husband was treating me and so, he offered to let me move back in with him, which was the plan, until my very dear friend and I realized that we both wanted much more, we are now starting life together. All I can say is WOW. I can't even tell you how beautiful life is, how different, things are really, really good. So anyway, that's what's up right now in a nutshell. Personally I'm just plugging away at work (back in banking) and about to start a new job closer to home. After the Rush tour is over I should be back in school by Fall semester. Anyway, if anybody still reads this, wonders what's up, that's the super condensed version. - gangster
  18. I forget what concert this is from, but I love that top he is wearing. Sometimes I see pictures of Geddy wearing things in the 1970's and all I can think of is how badly I wished I owned it so that I could wear it. This top is an example. Another great example is the sheer green sequined top he's wearing in one of their first promo pictures with John Rutsey. I googled but I can't find the picture at the moment, I am pretty sure most of you know what I'm talking about. I'd also like to own a prophetic robe. Okay, so now you all want to wear his clothes. I'll make a note of that. I don't think my thighs would fit into those jeans though. Hell, I bet I couldn't even squeeze into a pair of his current pants.
  19. I once had a dream that I was the singer for a band and we were performing at a decent-sized event, an auditorium or arena or something. While onstage I could feel the energy coming from the crowd and I had that rapport that every band hopes for. It sounds funny, but because of that dream I feel that I know what it's like to be one of those great performers. I would think that is right - the energy must be fantastic. I wish some interviewer would ask them what it's like. I wonder if it ever gets old? If they ever get used to it? I don't think they do, A band like Rush always appreciates their audience! They know who made them for who they are to this day. On the flip side, touring like any band must be tougher than any one person can imagine. I still think it's easier for them. They don't party and they take care of themselves, stay in nice hotel, fly private planes instead of trying to sleep on a tour bus, etc...

  21. I will too, I'm going to be a nurse. :dweez:
  22. Yes, I second that, but I think age might have something to do with his now wearing frumpy fitting jeans. *pfffffttttt* His body is perfect. Yes, it is, both sides. But I think tight fitting jeans might bother him now. That's what I meant. Don't ask me why. Are you insinuating he may be having age issues? I'll quit while I am ahead. Somewhat. Maybe he needs a doughnut pillow, oh dear.
