OK, so maybe I'm a music geek, but I picked up "The Next Day (Deluxe)" on Tuesday and have waited until today to give it a proper listen, when I can be undisturbed and "really" listen to it. So, I've played it through three times today and am just simply blown away...it is so good...I can't even believe how great these songs are. I'm a huge Bowie fan, so I knew I'd have a fanboy response, but this goes beyond that...it truly is the best release in many, many, many years. Now, if only the rumours are true and he plays some New York City gigs this year. Enjoy the best album of the year everyone! http://assets.rollingstone.com/assets/images/story/david-bowie-streams-the-next-day-on-itunes-20130301/1000x306/bowie-306-1362149160.jpg2 points

St. Patrick's Day seems to be just another day to go out on the piss. So I celebrated St. Patrick's Day twice earlier this month and will celebrate it again this Tuesday and Saturday2 points

Just another day in the week for me. I don't celebrate it.2 points

Winter is lingering in this neck of the woods. We get a few centimetres of snow almost daily. And it's cold. March 20 is supposed to be the first day of spring, I hope it shows up and is not a KHAN job!1 point

Whoa, I love you Rushhead666, but there can be no disrespecting T Rex allowed here, don't make me come over there! Although, I quite like the Power Station version of "Bang a Gong".1 point

Ur... And she leaves him speechless. Thank you. Thank you, very much. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-greet015.gif Close. Actually that's where I (or my 160th previous incarnation) was at the time, celebrating. 160 presuming that all of your previous incarnations had lived into their 40s. I'd bet a more than a few of your previous incarnations were eaten by wolves or torn apart by crazed mobs of liberals. Probably closer to 300 incarnations in your case. Just a theory. ;) Gee, thanks... I didn't mean to be harsh, and certainly didn't mean to offend you, labt. I was just being goofy. Well, trying at least... :) That's OK. You're not the only one who's reveled in thinking about me dying a bloody, horrific death 300 times...one tends to kind of get used to it after a while. I just wasn't expecting it outside of SOCN. :) I didn't revel in it. I thought the liberal reference was okay here - you do wear your political views on your sleeve with your signature. If it is any consolation to you, I would have used the same joke with any of my other intelligent friends, liberal or conservative. That was the spirit of the attempted joke. My number may be closer to 400 - I've done some pretty dumb things and wouldn't be surprised if many of my previous incarnations didn't fall into volcanoes or get branded as heretics and burned at the stake. :) I was just joking back. It's all good...no offense taken.  :) Hey, while I can forgive you for reveling in my death repeated 300 times, stealing my TRF prom date is a little more iffy. I'm just joking. I would prefer my TRF prom date to be much more interesting and fun than Sheldon. There is that whole eye candy thing that makes him difficult to resist, but who needs THAT kind of distraction during the after prom/Star Trek marathon... :) Hey, it's all up to Sheldon. I presume it will depend upon the quality of each of our applications. I guess it depends it what he's looking for. I see the quandary with the eye candy factor. Perhaps, we can drape a burlap sack over him to reduce his overwhelming charisma. Then, all attention could be focused where it supposed to be. On Wesley Crusher. ;) Did you ever think that Sheldon could BE Wesley Crusher? Have you actually ever seen the two together?1 point

I cant really pick a fave. At various times in my life I've said Sgt. Pepper, Revolver, Rubber Soul, and Abbey Road. The White album has alot of ok stuff but it's top 14 tracks (since most Beatles albums have 14 or so tracks) could be as good as anything theyve done. I love the vibe of MMT as a whole record but individually it's not their best work. I totally love Help! and I think it's as groundbreaking as anything theyve ever done for it's time, but you could say that about any of their first 4 albums too, I guess. I suppose I could make an argument for or against any of their albums and I could talk about the good, the great and the not-so-great with any of their releases. I just like to enjoy their music and not really like to debate about it. ok, so I decided to vote anyway and went with Rubber Soul. Couldda went with 4 or 5 others easily. Thought I'd give Rubber Soul some love.1 point

I saw these guys live back in october and they were incredible. They are a little less "mathy". Much more melodic and pop-oriented then the stuff you've posted, but they are great fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6n09kkdBFI1 point

Here in the UK, we'll have to wait until we get a 14th month (or I suppose a 31st of April would work, too, in a pinch) Thanks for noticing, YL! ;) What shall we call such a month? Rushember! :D1 point

Hey Bowie Boyz N Gurls! I haven't loved a Bowie album since "Let's Dance" with the late great SRV!! Bowie has put out a bunch of dudes over the last few decades in my humble opinion! I saw Bowie in San Jose on the "Heathen" Tour and half way through I walked out. ALL NEW SHITE! Anyway a new chapter of Bowie music is born. Personally I LOVE THE COVER! It's smarketing. By that I mean it's SMART! People will instantly identify the album cover and go "WTF?" I don't think it's ever been done before and I love the risk! I can see the next new Rush album coming out in two years. The artwork will be "Moving Pictures" with a big WHITE SQUARE over it. The album will be entitled "THE NEXT HIT." Anyway I think the new album is excellent although there are some boring songs on it. It's his best album though since "Let's Dance." Did you guys catch the ending of the song "You Feel So Lonely You Could Die?" It's the drum pattern to "Five Years!" Cheers! I might go see Bowie if he tours again. This time I will stay for the whole show!1 point

I am using my DVR to avoid all the commercials. That's the only way to do it. There are a few shows that I will not watch without having in on the DVR... this one, Once Upon A Time... I usually watch it later or the next day... or wait until about 25 after to start it1 point
