A high point in an otherwise drab and plodding album.

A drab and plodding song on a drab and plodding album.

I wasn't going to blow up the thread with my disdain for all that is Snakes, but Tony R came through for me. Drab and plodding however, doesn't adequately describe the crapfest that is everything but Farcry. I'll leave it at that, or not. :outtahere:

It is plodding, but I think for that particular song I think it works, gives it a kind of gravitas.....the rest of the album is a turd, I agree.

Be careful Fridge! I, too, once thought the album a stink-o and completely unworthy of Rush. Then, TRF member RUDT shamed me into listening to the album one more time. Usually willing to humor anyone, I gave it another listen. Then, I couldn't get the songs out of my head. Over and over and over and over and over they played until they drove me batty.

The rest is Rush history. :)

Tony rrrrrrrr----like a sealion with a ball, at the carnival------

Quite. But better a sealion with an opinion than some Canadian prick with his head up the band's arse.

Originally the song was named Arm and Hammer but then they realized the trademark complications.

I heard it was named after Armour Meats. Don't they make Spam?

Spam better known as Hawaiian Steak. They love that junk.

Love the album but the song isn't one of my favorites from it. It fits well within the flow of the album but wouldn't put it in a mix. Still like it though.
