S&A is half a decent album:

A&S

MalNar

WTA

TWTWB

TMMB

 

That's a solid half hour of music.

S&A was high on my list when it first came out, but it hasn't fared as well over time. The Larger Bowl, Good News First and Bravest Face suck the life out of any listen.

 

The second half of Armor and Sword is fantastic. The first half is good. I'm with those that think Spindrift is underrated.

Love Spindrift too. Also We Hold On, a song hardly anyone likes.

 

I don't love Spindrift and understand why a lot of people despise it but I enjoy the dissonance it has.

 

We Hold On is great.

 

Totally agree. Spindthrift, while not being bad, is nothing very good. Its just ok.

 

We Hold on is very, very underrated.

Snakes is my fav modern rush album. and it is So unfairly tossed aside.

If by "modern" you mean VT, S & A, CA (oh, and Feedback) I 100% agree. Its much better than the other modern albums. Heck, even include T4E in their and its still the best.

Anyone else love this song? It rocks so hard and is a great all around song IMO.

 

Very, very good song. I like Working Them Angels, TMMB, Far Cry and The Larger Bowl more but don't take that as a knock on this song. Its just that those are even (slightly) better - to my ears anyway. Its still a darn good song on an album I like a lot.

I enjoy it. I very much enjoy the bass melody in Armor and Sword.

 

I also think Alex' guitar work at the end of We Hold On is outstanding.

 

When S&A first came out, I was underwhelmed, but I have grown to appreciate and even enjoy it. It doesn't get a lot of airplay in the house and truck, but more than some albums.
