There are a few I dislike (but don't reach hate levels), and 2-3 that I like or really like. I haven't listened to all of it straight through in maybe two years. It took me a handful of listens to warm up to everything else. Awesome work by Alex and the lyrics are just great. At the time S&A came out I remember saying I thought it was the best song they had done in over 20 years. That and the awkward, clunky sounding verses don't really work for me. Many times new material has to grow on me (some of CA, VT), but modern songs like those 2 off Snakes, Earthshine, and the CA title track were instant favorites. Lorraine Posted December 16, 2015 Share Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) It's true S&A has some clunkers on it for me that I doubt I will ever warm up to, but if you knew how much I hated the album when I first heard it, you could appreciate how far I've come. Someone mentioned the sound. When I was listening to it yesterday, that struck me as well for some reason. Slightly muddled, but overall crisp and clear.
