7. Buddy Guy

That's a name I don't see here often.

King Crimson (In The Court Of The Crimson King and Larks' Tongues In Aspic; I promised myself that I won't listen to more of KC's work until I can get hold of physical copies of their albums out of respect for Robert Fripp)

Pink Floyd (primarily Meddle through Animals; haven't listened to The Wall all the way through yet)

Yes (The Yes Album and Fragile; kind of a similar scenario with King Crimson, I'd feel cheated if I just downloaded their music)

For Crimson, invest in Steven Wilson's Red Remix

and for Yes, invest in Steven Wilson's Close to the Edge

Ok.

Rush

I have never owned or listened to a Maiden album in my life.... :|

Get Killers. Very good.

I will give it a try. I think I figured out why I never got into them. Their first release was 1980 as I was kind of shutting it down they were really getting going....

I never listened to them until a couple of years ago. Not my cup of tea but I can see why people like them.

That's kind of what I figured. What I have heard is really not my thing either. Seems sort of what Judas Priest became after I let them go around 80'.....

The only reason I really checked them out was because the bass player Steve Harris had released a signature bass with Fender and people were talking about them. That and the guitar player in the band I was in liked them, so he made me a CD with assorted songs to check out.

I'm happy to see Maiden mentioned so many times here :)

I just hope I'm not the only one who loves Brave New World-present. Soooo good

I love Brave New World & The Final Frontier. Especially the last 4-5 songs on Frontier. Such a great 30 minutes or so from modern Maiden

5. Led Zeppelin

6. Jethro Tull

Agreed. Brave New World and The Final Frontier are also my two favorite modern Maiden albums. Dream Of Mirrors, The Talisman and When The Wild Wind Blows are probably some of my all time favorite Maiden songs.
