presto123 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) Simple poll but I don't think it's been asked. How does CA stack up for you after living with the two singles for two years? I think it easily exceeded my expectations. You? Edited June 10, 2012 by presto123
ColdFireYYZ Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 It exceeded my expectations. I really liked the first 2 songs, and I thought this album would be slightly better than Snakes and Arrows (which I like) but it blows it away.
losingit2k Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I knew it was going to be good, but his is unexpectedly good!
Presto-digitation Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Yes, as a fan of S&A I hoped it would be as good as that one and it's better...so exceeded works for me.
SchemingDemon Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Definitely WAY better than I expected. I can't get enough of CA
1 of the 7 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Exceeded. I knew I was going to love it, but I can't believe the emotional punch a lot of these songs have, and how much the lyrics are hitting home.
Earthshine Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Totally. I thought the 2 singles were real good. But now hearing the whole album, they are even better and the whole album is much better than I ever expected.
laughedatbytime Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 way exceeded. The best since at least p/g and maybe MP.
Cyclonus X-1 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Definitely exceeded. It's unbelievably good and almost certainly going to end up being one of my five favorite Rush albums (I'd have been happy if it had merely come close to cracking the top ten).
launchpad67a Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Didn't really listen to those 2 songs in 2010 and I'm glad I didn't. Love This Album! Blown away. So good.
analog guy Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Absolutely exceeded. I liked Caravan but didn't love it, and was bored with BU2B. I like parts of Headlong Flight but the whole thing just never really clicked to me... so I was expected to be kind of disappointed. I certainly didn't expect that I would like pretty much every other new track! The three they put out turned out to be my three least favorite. The three "The" tunes have turned out to be the ones I like best, and they slot very nicely along side some of the classics.

GeddyRulz Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Exceeded. "BU2B" was good, and "Caravan" very good, but Clockwork Angels (album) is VERY VERY good!!
GeminiRising79 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Album was hyped by the Rush camp to be mindblowing and ended up just blowing
EmotionDetector Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jun 15 2012, 11:09 AM) Album was hyped by the Rush camp to be mindblowing and ended up just blowing ...up my speakers with its awesomeness.

How does CA stack up for you after living with the two singles for two years? I think it easily exceeded my expectations. You? I didn't think they had this in them. Its not a masterpiece. Its not MP. Its very good. EASILY the best since Power Windows. Now I'm a little sad I splurged for 4th row seats for one show. I would have rather gotten decent seats for two shows.
