Snaked
we're still 2+ weeks away from the digital release of the song.. and although speculation might be fair that it may be the edit which is put up for sale there is absolutely ZERO to confirm that at this point. relax.. enjoy the ride. all this bitching and whining about something that isnt even available yet.. ieesh! Rush-O-Matic
QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Apr 6 2012, 05:42 PM) Bands have been issuing radio edits forever. The hysteria is getting out of hand around here. I'm not sure how long you're defining "forever" in your comment. Because, indeed, there have been radio edit versions of songs since there has been radio. But, how often have 2 singles been sold from an upcoming album release well over a year ahead of the release, then included as live versions for purchase again, and then the next single edited and available for sale, and then the album available? I'm sure it's happened before, but it has not be Rush's MO in the past. And, since it's the diehard fans that will be the repeat buyers, not the casual fans, it seems a bit . . . off. Fans being frustrated about the length of release, the timing, and the failure to get any official confirmation of anything at all is hardly hysteria. Which, by the way, that "hysteria" is what's going to drive the sales of the radio edit anyway. If Rr thinks casual fans are going to double-buy, they're insane. I don't know but I remember I owned the 45 and I gave it to a jukebox vendor so he could put it in the jukebox and I could rock the bowling alley with Rush. I'm trying to remember the B-side. I think it was Red Sector A live or something. Could be wrong?

That One Guy
QUOTE (Presto-a RUSH fan! @ Apr 6 2012, 05:40 PM) QUOTE (Union 5-3992 @ Apr 6 2012, 06:32 PM) You don't have to buy the radio edit. Because it will be on Youtube of course! I know, but of course I'd want it on my mp3 player, computer and burned to CD. There are sites that will convert youtube video format to mp3 format. Whiiich you can then have in Itunes. And then you can stick it to The Man instead of buying the same song twice.

Or is it exclusive to some radio stations.. If it goes to radio stations tomorrow, even a limited number of radio stations, it'll be online somewhere about 5 minutes after it gets played the first time. It'll be up on YouTube, Usenet, torrents... anywhere people share stuff.

Bad is Bad is funny as hell. Went uptown to see my cousin Plays guitar, sounds like a chainsaw buzzin' In the crowd, I see his mom and dad I said "Hey, hey Uncle, man your son is bad" But sometimes, sometimes bad is bad Cool is a rule, but, sometimes, bad is bad.
