  1. That expression on Geddy's face when he is hugging Alex is just magical. Thanks for sharing those.
  2. Hur dee dur, found it myself. Wasn't looking correctly . . . Starts at about 49:30, in case anyone wants a link, I think this works: https://player.siriusxm.com/on-demand-episodes/9442/f9479dc8-7c03-90d8-ff0e-071f7b7775c1/audio/page-name%3Dedp_episodes&showGuid%3Df9479dc8-7c03-90d8-ff0e-071f7b7775c1
  3. Is there a way to listen to this anywhere after the fact? Anyone record it?
  4. There was some webisodes filmed during the R40 Tour. To me, Cinema Strangitato is a combination of the R40 Live DVD, the webisodes, extra unreleased outtakes, along with the Geddy Lee: Falling Down the Rabbit Hole clip about his bass guitars. In relation to the above, this is probably the one you're talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3Eye8gLiVM However I believe the Dinklage footage is both the interview and the entire live version of 'Losing It' he does on Cinema Strangiato. I believe you are correct. Thank you for posting that YouTube webisode link.
  5. Thanks. I am interested in the percents that are NOT on those DVDs (unless there are some hidden Easter eggs I haven't been able to unlock). Specifically that version of Losing It with Jonathan Dinklage and his interview that leads into it.
  6. I have may have missed a post. Was there ever any information about whether this would be released on DVD / Bluray?
  7. And for Geddy and Alex. I can't imagine how hard they are grieving.
  8. I'm glad you guys are here. I'm 51 and have been listening to Rush, going to a bunch of live shows, drawing inspiration from Neil's lyrics, and reading his books for most of my life. Of course, we were not friends, and I did not know him. But, the grief is real. I have lost a loved on. Hugs all around to you guys, and crank up some of his badass drumming.
  9. Dinklage's interview leading into the performance, and the blended soundcheck footage, added to why this was a gem for me. I wish there were a way I could see that again.
  10. Except for the version of Losing It with Jonathan Dinklage. Unless that exists somewhere on the DVD in an easter egg? Or, maybe it's on the BluRay. I only have the DVD. I would love to see that again, with his intro commentary.
  11. And, apparently I've forgotten how to embed video from YouTube.
  12. Is this available anywhere? I went last night, and this was definitely the highlight. Everything else was recycled stuff, but fun, or just an ad for Geddy's book. But, to me, the $15 was worth seeing that version, especially with the intro commentary from Dinklage. I thought it was presented, filmed and edited well. This video (which is part of what was used in the film), was posted in Aug 2015. So, it's out there somewhere. I don't remember seeing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3Eye8gLiVM
  13. The Starman is facing the wrong way. Again. Just like the Chinese production of the Starman Flashlight that shines the image backwards. Booo. BOOOOOOOO!

  15. I asked for the Best Buy version for Christmas, because I wanted the flashlight. It's really cool, but does everybody else's project the Starman backwards? If they're all that way, because they were cheaply made in China, then I wasn't going to worry about it. I think I remember somebody else saying that, but I wasn't sure which thread. But, if it's just a few that are wrong, I'd like to return mine for a proper one. They're all that way. Ah, well off to find a mirror, then . . .

  17. Made this a few years ago, and it's still hanging on the wall at my office: This is the front of a T-shirt I made: And, this is the back plate on one of my guitars:

  19. He donated it to the Canadian National Archives. No. He donated his black double neck. That's not the bass I asked about. I asked why is touring with a burgundy 4001 instead of his black 4001. D'oh, my bad. I read too quickly. What are the little black bar things under the strings on many of his basses? They didn't used to be there.
  20. He donated it to the Canadian National Archives.
  21. Nope, I think you described it just right. There's actually a quick shot of it here in this video that shows exactly that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-yTVHptvD0 I just never noticed that before. Learn something new every day! http://i.imgur.com/G2i4WfH.jpg
  22. One interesting thing, as they were looking at instruments the only 4001 was the BurgundyGlo one, unless I missed the JetGlo? Does that mean he's only using the Burgundy one? I just looked at the Tulsa video of Red Barchetta and I'm pretty sure now it's the burgundy, not the black (egad that is hard to make out, especially when all the lighting colours are either light blue or purple!). Curiouser and curiouser. It did seem, too, from the tech's commentary that the only song Geddy's switching instruments from night to night is on Xanadu (the two doublenecks). In this new video https://qello.com/concert/R40-on-the-Road-Webisode-3-6430#, Geddy says the double neck is a bass and a 12 string. I never knew that. Obviously the 4080/12 designation means 12 string. But, the black one doesn't look like a 12 string - I can't make out the machine heads and how that works. Do 6 of the strings wind around top posts and the other 6 go through the headstock? Is there some sort of Frankenwinder?! Awesome. That thing must be a beast to string and tune and no wonder Skully hates it!
  23. I'll add this, because I buy and sell off StubHub all the time. StubHub charges pretty hefty fees to both the buyer and seller (if they sell). Part of the reason is that they guarantee the tickets. So, you should feel 100% safe about buying from them. More on that: When you list, you have to have an account and have a credit card even to list tickets. If you list bogus tickets, they will charge your card for what costs they have to spend to make it right. If you buy tickets, and they turn out to be bogus (very, very hard; more on that later), then don't panic and think, "aw, I got screwed." Immediately call them. Their customer service is excellent. They will find you replacement tickets as equal to what you bought as possible. It there's nothing equal, they'll find you something and credit your loss. One of the reasons it's hard to list bogus tickets, is that the for "instant download" ones, the seller has to enter the unique barcode on each ticket. StubHub is a legit reselling partner with many venues, and the barcode is easily verifiable. Your only challenge with instant downloads, is if you're at a venue that can't scan from your phone. I think they can scan your phone at the VZW Amphitheatre in Atlanta, but was told they couldn't. I bought four tickets for the Rush show off StubHub 20 minutes before show time, pulled into a FedEx office near the venue, printed them and had no problems. I have sold many baseballs tickets and several concert tickets on StubHub. Buy with 100% confidence from StubHub. I can't speak for other resellers, as I have not used anyone else.
