After having watched Prisoners, I'm afraid to watch anything immediately after, despite wanting to... This is because I think it'll fall short of my expectations greatly.

Any recommendations?

As far as recent ones go, I recommend The Spectacular Now. One of the better romance dramas since it's more realistic than those that get too sappy. That actress from Divergent and Fault In Our Stars is the female lead.

I appreciate the recommendation, but I am very hesitant about romances ;)

A Korean movie called "Steel cold winter" (which is an awesome title for the next Emperor album). Is it a love story? Is it a crime-noir? Is it social commentary? In fact, it's a little bit of everything. It's cold, chilly, gruesome and incredibly tender at the same time. The actress is tops.

BTW, the scene in the poster is nowhere to be found in the movie.

The House At The End Of The Street

It failed as a thriller/horror. But it was exceptionally well directed and acted, with Jennifer Lawrence giving what I consider to be her best performance yet. She is my number one crush as of now, and this was an enjoyable film if taken as a dark drama.

Liz Banks in that tight yellow dress is the reason I saw it. Ain't gonna lie.

She looked good but that's the only good thing about the film.

Night Train Murders. A 70's Italian video nasty in the style of Last House on the Left. Not as graphic, but still very disturbing in places. What really sets the film apart is great cinematography and editing. Plus, it's got music by Ennio Morricone.

Is this really necessary???

I'm actually Facebook friends with that guy who plays the journalist asking the questions at the press conference. He's a radio DJ named Larry Morgan who used to work at 100.3FM in Los Angeles.

You're right, though. Not as bad as it could have been but it's not really necessary with all the jokes that just make references to their earlier roles. At least Sly actually gave a damn in his role. DeNiro is just slumming it for another bad role of many in his post Meet The Parents resume. Guess Silver Linings was just a rare break from his awful roles of late.

Alan Arkin is hilarious, though, given the material.

A very fun revenge flick, with Pam Grier taking on drug dealers, pimps, dirty cops and anyone else who gets in her way.

I think I nearly overdosed on Funk music while watching this movie

This one saved the day, movie-wise:

It was ok. The f-word was really prevalent in that film, and got on my nerves.

The alien mutations thing was a bit art-house flick creepy for me. They should've just had the aliens get back to Earth and have a big war.

I watched that a while back, mainly because it had Bruce Campbell in it. I enjoyed it, in a kid's movie kind of way.
