GeddyRulz
QUOTE Again... i don't dispute the insane popularity of these movies. It's a well known fact that Americans are sheep and have no minds of their own. So when you get hit over the head with HUGE media campaigns for this shit, of course the lowest forms will come out and spend their hard earned money watching something OVER AND OVER. Never once have I debated this. I mean... you're talking about the KINGS of GEEKDOM. This is my answer to your earlier (rhetorical) question: Why do movies based on comics shoot straight to number one?
rushgoober
You know, there's a lot of love in this thread right now. Feel free to disect that statement into several long posts. It really says a lot about me. I love you Necromancer and Treeduck no matter what. You can call that sarcastic if you want, but it's sincere. Gotta spend some time with the wife, but I'll be back later. Have at me, but don't forget to have fun in the process.

It was great, Bruce Dern's performance alone is worth the price of admission and Rick Ducommun was incredibly funny as the manic Ar tie and even Corey Feldman did a decent job as the cynical teen... The Matrix movies & LOTR? Your opinion but I would say that you are in a group of maybe a 100. And I loved Titantic.....Thought I would hate it but was pleasantly surprised. Matrix 1 was amazing. The other two were sub par to put it lightly The Matrix was spoiled by having Keanu "I'm a meathead, dude" Reeves in it... He could possibly be the worst actor of all time. Ya_Big_Tree
I think the closest statement about how Keanu really is came from Teh Matrix of all movies when the Oracle said he was "cute, but not too bright." That sums up The Kanu, in my opinion anyway. I also liked The Burbs...when I was a kid...I saw it again recently and couldn't watch the whole thing, and for me to say I couldn't finish a movie, really says something about the movie because I will watch anything. I suggest you watch it again GR with an unbiased eye this time... Actually I hate Tom Hanks since he became the Oscar-winning favorite son of Hollywood. Forrest Gump now there's a stupid shit film if ever I saw one...
