The Owl
Seed of Chucky- By far the worst film i've ever seen. The Child's Play films were great up until the "Of Chucky" films. If "Bride" was a nut-shot to the Franchise, this film is casteration. A good franchise DEAD I tolerated the Bride, as it didn't ruin the previous three films and continued the story. But "Seed" was just awful. I guarentee you this film playes on a continous non-stop loop in hell. I shocks me that two actors from Lord of the Rings Brad Dourif (albiet Chucky first) and Billy Boyd. GeddyRulz
I don't know about "most hated" movie, but the WORST movie I saw was a Wes Craven flick called "Deadly Friend." My best friend warned me not to go, and I didn't listen. It stars Matthew Labourteaux (from "Little House on the Prairie") as a young genius, with an advanced knowledge about artificial intelligence. His 'friend' is played by Christy Swanson (of the "Buffy" movie). Swanson is killed by her abusive father, and Labourteaux implants a computer into her brain to "bring her back to life." Naturally, Swanson goes wild - killing neighbors and such. That stupidest thing about the movie is Swanson's "robot" act; she walks around saying, "BEEP BEEP" while holding her hands in a "live long and prosper" manner. Dumb. steelcaressed
Worst? There's just so many. How about any slash flick from the past 20 years. The genre has devolved into buckets of blood and gore w/ no plot line, like a demented porno. Overrated too. I always thought Punch Drunk Love was absolutely unwatchable, though many think it's pure Sandler genius.
willowroolz
Pearl Harbour. Loud, tedious and moronic. Even having Kate Becksinsale in the cast couldn't save that pile of shite. Hollywood at its very worst. Oh, and Armageddon. There's a theme here. Edited March 30, 2007 by willowroolz

Who also starred in the most maligned movie of the past few years, "Gigli."
Stormtron
House of the Dead - Uwe Boll really out did himself with this one. Even the great Clint Howard couldn't save it. Rest in Pieces - I love bad horror movies from the 80s and when I was younger I'd always go rent things with cheesy covers, hoping they'd be hilariously bad. This movie had a cool cover with a zombie jumping out of a grave, but the movie was like an episode of a soap opera where only one person got stabbed...and you didn't even see it. and f***ing Contact
Slime
Heavy Metal no plot horrible animation even for the 1980s no character development WAY overhyped Just a horrible movie. I can't even believe that ANYBODY could recommend it.

circumstantial tree
QUOTE (Fridge @ Mar 30 2007, 09:42 AM) probably just about any American high school. teen movie that has ever been made I can deal with some of them, the ones that deal with my generation such as "The Molly Ringwald 3" or "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". If it's along the lines of American Pie, then forget it.

Atomic.Feedback!
This isn't exactly an easy choice... there are all sorts of movies I hate. But I s'pose the one that comes to mind is "Ultraviolet". That movie was so incredibly terrible (no doubt enhanced by the fact that I thought it would be good like Aeon Flux was). It sucked so bad, I can't write about how bad it was. Gahhh. I'm going to beat my head against something until I stop thinking about how bad it was.
skyswing
I'm usually pretty easy on people who create things, like movies, but I'd say two of my least favorite movies are "Wing Commander" and "Mars Attacks!"

Have you ever seen "Old School" (Farrell) or "So I Married an Axe Murderer" (Myers)? I love both those movies. The two "Wayne's World" movies were pretty good, too... but I can totally understand if people hate the "Austin Powers" crap.

rushgoober
The worst movie I ever sat through is one that a lot of people love. I remember seeing this movie with my sister and a friend of hers. I was about 21 and her and her friend were around 16. To me it was the worst crime a movie could commit, which is a personal pet peeve of mine, and that is when a movie is intentionally emotionally manipulative, trying to get you to cry because of melodramatic contrived attempts to pull at your heartstrings (E.T. anyone?). Anyway, so I'm watching this movie and not ony is it incredibly emotionally manipulative, but the characters were BEYOND stupid, just agonizingly stupid people, which is another thing in movies I can't stand - unrealistic horrendously stupid characters. So I'm watching this movie, an intensely painful experience, and I look over at my sister and her friend and they're bawling. I was like, give me a f*cking break, but I kept my mouth shut. Easily the worst movie I've ever seen. What a piece of garbage! Oh yeah, the movie was... Edward Scissorhands
