I'm okay. Nothing broken fortunately for I'm still young and can take a bashing. I think that my hand being numb was due to my raynaud's since my house is really cold and my hands do funny things while it's cold. The most damage happened to my thumb where the nail went into my skin and was bleeding quite a bit.

And yes I'm still using my right hand to type.

Thanks for all your consideration :)

If a nail broke your skin, maybe you should go get a Tetanus shot.

My finger nail :) not a metal nail. And I wash my hands a lot lit so they should be alright.

Oh, then never mind.

I was on my lunch break and decided I'd go get a nice sandwich and eat there at the deli- probably the only high point of any given weekday. While eating alone, two high school aged kids who either had an off-period or were ditching class came up and invited themselves to sit by me.

"Hey man, mind givin' me some advice?"

"Oh.. Hey... Haha, yeah okay.."

"Well, see, turns out my girlfriend's a JW... How am I supposed to get into her pants?"

"JW?"

"Yeah, Jehovah's Witness"

"Oh, heh" I respond... Silence fell at the table... I break a sweat as my eyes shift back and forth, thinking of how I'm going to handle this.

"Well," I continue, "you got to... You got to ask her nicely"

They both burst laughing, "Haha, for real bro?" the other one of them says. I chuckle along not knowing what to do.

"Uh, yeah... Pretty sure you gotta be more assertive than that dude," the one asking for advice says in a condescending tone. "You're not a virgin, are you?"

"What? Yeah right, lol" -- I've accidentally pronounced "el-oh-el" aloud rather than faking a laugh this time.

They both look at me quizzically.

"I'm not a virgin, I've had sex with three women before. At age 16 Kathy, 19 Kaitlyn, and just last week, some hoe named Kim."

"All their names start with K..." His friend says, "That's a strange fetish you got there..."

"Oh, it's just destiny I guess."

"Yeah," the other laughs, "or you're just terrible at lying. F*cking virgin."

I freeze up... At this point my forehead was likely shining with sweat, but I didn't notice it at the time. Everything was blank.

He stands up, his friend turns his head taking notice and stands up as well. They both grab their sandwich trays and head towards the farthest away table.

"Well hey, you always have your anime porn, freak!"

Humiliating... I can't believe how easily they read me.

I told my newspaper teacher that I'm leaving the class next semester. She told me that it's my responsibility to find someone in the class to replace me. She also told me that i signed a paper in the beginning of the year saying that i would be in this class the entire year (yeah im sorry i didnt know then how badly this class would effect my mental health, damn). I only told her that I'm leaving because of stress and anxiety because I wasn't comfortable enough to go into detail about how the class has effected me. She probably has the impression that I'm leaving just because its a hard class and I don't like putting my time into it. i mean, it really is a hard class but there's a lot more to it. I didn't name any names, but I told her that other people in the class were leaving next semester as well. She started to say something but then stopped and said "Merry Christmas, Jamie." in the post passive aggressive tone I've ever heard.

So yeah, my mom is pretty pissed at how she treated me and the fact that she was trying to make me feel guilty about leaving. My mom is gonna email her and go into more detail as to why I'm leaving. Maybe then my teacher will be the least bit understanding.

Sorry to hear that this is turning into such a nuisance for you. Hopefully your mom's email will get through to that teacher.

Don't mind them. I sense it bothers you because maybe you think you shouldn't be a virgin, but when you realize that you don't have anything to prove to any jackass (who probably is lying about their sex life anyway) you become immune to any such attack. Some are early and some are late but we all get there eventually. I was late and the fact that I didn't seem to care actually made me interesting for some girls.

Heck, you're young all you have to do is feel comfortable about yourself and be around. :)

Edit: It's good to see you respect women. Believe me as you get older women will notice that in you.

When I was foraging around in the Dollar Store this morning, I happened upon a display for Valentine's Day stuff. Isn't it a little too early?

I found Easter bunnies in Aldi yesterday too.

Unless Christmas bunnies are now a thing...

(For those who are confused about that, I still have my job. Turns out I was only suspended, and not actually terminated.)

You got suspended for having a beverage thrown at you?

I know I'm being harsh, but you sort of made a promise. You probably should find someone to take your place or stick with your promise.

"Well," I continue, "If her pants fit you, then you just put them on just like you put any other pair of pants - one leg at a time."

They both burst laughing, "Haha, for real bro?" the other one of them says. I chuckle along....

"Yeah," the other laughs, "or you're just terrible at lying. F*cking virgin."

I stand up...... At this point, the two nitwits' faces are shining with sweat. They're not sure of what they should do.

"Well, you two..... if you can't handle your hormones, and if you can't figure out how to talk to a girl, then you can always whack-off to your anime porn or your Daddy's Playboy mags....."

I pick up my sandwich tray and go to the other side of the room. How easy that was.......

f***ing worst traffic ever. I guess the lower gas prices encouraged everyone to drive this year, as opposed to flying. Our infrastructure in this country simply cannot handle this amount of traffic. "We" should have never torn up our rails and we should have a network of high speed trains.

What pisses me off the most is on the rural interstates(2 lanes each way) no one will get out of the damned left lane. In the urban and suburban areas(multiple lanes each way), no one will use the left lane. Everyone wants to pile up in the middle lane. No one will use a damned turn signal. Everyone wants to slam on the brakes if a vehicle is broke down or getting stopped for a traffic infraction.

I seriously never want to drive again.

 that's great! Italicizing made for an easier read of the conversation too, I'll remember that.

I did make a promise, but at the time I didn't know that this class would have such a bad effect on my mental health. I am not going to stay in this class when all it does is make me cry and feel like utter shit, I cannot take it anymore. There probably isn't even going to be a school newspaper next semester because so many other people are leaving, and quite frankly I don't give a flying f**k.

FYI Aiken just speaking as an older folk here, I don't think you were being too harsh. I see where you were going and it was from a good place.... :codger:

Yes, actually. Almost everyone in this class is way too stressed. I'm not sure how severe it is for the others though.

No, I was referring to another time, when I was under the impression I lost my job.

You made a promise, but not a suicide pact. If the class is as stressful as you say it is, you need to get out. If the teacher was really interested in you staying in the class, she would be asking you what she could change, or how she could help you make it through.

Somehow I doubt this is the reason why they make a student sign a paper committing herself for one year to the class, but maybe the school is trying to teach the students to honor a commitment and not bail out when the going gets tough. Edited by Lorraine
