The Beach Boys- Pet Sounds

I don't get how you could take issue with this albums reputation. It's a beautiful album, it set a benchmark in its time of what the album format could be if the artist truly sought to achieve something beyond hits.

I saw Brian Wilson perform the whole record in a nice theater a few years ago. It was a really fun show. I don't rank the album nearly as high as Sgt. Peppers but it's still creates a lovely mood.

I rate it more highly in terms of songs, personally, but Pepper is a step above in terms of creativity and production. What a fun and bizarre era!

Pantera- Vulgar Display Of Power

I knew this was a grower! It's sunk in fully I think now. Incredible! Walk is basically the template for Avenged Sevenfold's entire career lmao, This Love most certainly isn't a Taylor Swift cover, and No Good (Attack The Radical) IS HEAVY!!

Love this album! It's relentless and empowering.

Within Temptation- The Fire Within

This is bizarre. This is an offcut from Resist, and it is a strong song. Why was it left off?

Flowing Tears- Jade

The closest in sound to Lacuna Coil than any other band has ever achieved, it's a shame that whilst the female fronted gothic metal scene exploded in popularity, FT did not. One of the strongest bands ever in the genre, they deserve more recognition.

Because all the songs on Resist are better. It's a fine song but ultimately it's not a song that really adds anything to their catalog other than just being another song from them to listen to. That's how every single they've randomly released over the last two years has been.

I agree, but this song sounds still like a rough demo. A bit more work, it would be fine.

But yeah, spun it a couple of times, it wouldn't add anything to Resist.

Lorna Shore- Pain Remains

Something about this band keeps me coming back. Unlike everything else I've heard in this pretty one note subgenre of metal (deathcore), I really hear goodness in this band.

Machine Head- Of Kingdom And Crown

Lamb Of God- Omens

Blind Guardian- The God Machine

Lacuna Coil- Black Anima

Taylor Swift- Midnights

Loved this year for music.

Yesterday:

Young Culture - You Had To Be There

Young Culture - Godspeed EP (Vinyl)

Young Culture - Young Culture (Vinyl)

Young Culture - (This Is) Heaven (Vinyl)

Young Culture - Blue (Vinyl)

Young Culture - You (Vinyl)

EP, you might like this!

You Had To Be There came out in November. I pre-ordered the Vinyl as soon as it was announced in September, but it likely won't arrive until March. I'm seeing Young Culture live again tomorrow, once again opening for State Champs. It'll be my 7th time seeing them.

That's a tough one. There's gonna be a lot of bands none of you have heard of haha. Let me think.

Rush

Night Ranger

State Champs

Taking Back Sunday

Stand Atlantic

Silverstein

Every Time I Die

Four Year Strong

Belmont

Dropkick Murphys

Boston

Blue Oyster Cult

Young Culture

Super American

Sum 41

With Confidence

The All-American Rejects

Judas Priest

Wage War

Tiny Moving Parts

Motion City Soundtrack

Nonpoint

Dance Gavin Dance

The Offspring

Here are 25 off the top of my head. Not really sure about the order. If I was to name all of my favorite bands, the list would be massive.

I do love Styx, but they have quite a few albums I've never heard. I'm mostly familiar with Equinox up to Edge Of The Century, and I've heard the last two as well.
