Entre_Perpetuo Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Full disclosure, the first time I ran it the poll generator had this up against p/g, and I just didn't feel like throwing that completely and utterly obvious of a poll out there, so I went with the next option. Hope this is more fun. Sadly for this really awesome new Foos album, I've been a James Taylor fan since I was in my mother's womb, and his Greatest Hits is a core part of my early life's soundtrack. JT times three. 2
Entre_Perpetuo Posted July 31, 2021 Author Posted July 31, 2021 I have a hunch that Mick may find this a slight challenge, depending on exactly how much he dug the Foos funkiest record, and where JT falls in his list of favorite singer songwriters from the 70s.

RushFanForever Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 I actually woke up at midnight and took two Vitamin C and D capsules. For the record, 'No Son of Mine' from Medicine at Midnight isn't a Genesis cover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ji6KuKLJgo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYNhS4zd4AM 3
RushFanForever Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Never really that fussed on the Foo Fighters zepphead I just had to share this with you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbNVIPAABgw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBcVuN2Kr-s From the Foo Fighters 2008 concert film Live At Wembley Stadium. 2
blueschica Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Sweet Baby James x 3 for the win! I like the Foo Fighters but James is epic. 2
J2112YYZ Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 I'm sure I know songs James Taylor has done but somebody would have to tell me what they are.
bluefox4000 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 James Taylor three times. i did enjoy the last two foo records. but i really don't think they deserve the reputation. they'ree very good live i'll say that. but their albums just make me think this is the most vanilla soccer mom rock i've ever heard, lol James is part of that 70'S Singer/songwriter era i love so much. i had most of his albums all on vinyl thanks to Mom who adores him. saw him live. great show and he tells hilarious stories in between songs. goose Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 JT's voice is up there with McCartney's as one of the most beautiful instruments ever. Sweet Baby James for the win. 2
zepphead Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Never really that fussed on the Foo Fighters zepphead I just had to share this with you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbNVIPAABgw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBcVuN2Kr-s From the Foo Fighters 2008 concert film Live At Wembley Stadium. This is great!! Just seeing Page & JP Jones together on stage brings a shiver down my spine!!
Nova Carmina Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 As much as I like the FF, most of the things I like congregate early in their career, and this isn't it. JT's Greatest Hits, though, was the second CD I ever bought, and he goes three-for-three here.
Rick N. Backer Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 I don’t hate the Foo Fighters. I’ve just never felt the urge to listen to them. The guy from “the Vineyard.”
invisible airwave Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 (edited) GreatestFooFire Love Foos but they've done better in the past and it's Taylor's hits. Medicine is a SLIGHT improvement over the hit or miss C&G. Edited August 21, 2021 by invisible airwave
