The irony is that I just defended that entire list (by giving a synopsis of CLASS) even though I think some on that list are crap.

 

You mortals can't bait me with cheap, repeated "capeshit" movie jabs. At least try a new jab instead repeating "capeshit" like the TRFer before you. It's like that one crappy FRIENDS line that was always repeated: "How YOU doin'?"

 

 

P.S. Did you know that CLASS was not only Andrew McCarthy's film debut but also John Cusack and Alan Ruck's? Oh and make no mistake, CLASS was only about Jaqueline Bisset's fineness and how every heterosexual, adolescent male wanted to bang her, nothing more.

I've been in love with this movie since I was seven years old.

41-- Barry Lyndon (1975). Kubrick never made a bad movie and I might pick among my all time faves 2001 and Clockwork in sci-fi, Shining in horror, FMJ in war, etc. but period piece drama? Not exactly my first choice of genre but Barry Lyndon goes way beyond. The humour, the overall story and of course the technical achievement. Kubrick was at his peak.

An overlooked and underrated comedy. Peter Falk and Alan Arkin team up and, in my humble opinion, make one of the best comedy duos of all-time. Pure chemistry. A wonderful and unassuming movie. The 2003 remake fails to capture the spirit of this gem.
