Blue J
I'm dividing them up based on what I feel is the best divide. We can all disagree but I think VT to CA is its own era. I'd even argue that CA stands alone.VT - CA IS its own era. I was thinking of it in sheer bulk of albums.  Era-wise, I wouldn't put PeW with HYF but you've placed it as such. I also wouldn't have placed Rush with Hemispheres if you're talking about era specific. This is where the "what you feel" comes into play and it's not actually about era after all. I get it.  Top 10 songs for CA alone! ;) PeW through HYF has a steady and easy to note progression. I think if you took both albums and put them next to each other they don't fit but with everything in between they do Those two particular bookends are my two favorite Rush albums. I can't even rate one of them at the top while the other is second. They're both just stupendous.   Hemispheres does come awfully close as well. I used to rate it higher than Waves, but not anymore.

The albums from the 2000's "feel" like a stand alone group. Especially with the real life turmoil post Test for Echo.

TheAccountant
My top 2 are definitely my top 2 from this era and that wont change. After that - wow!! This is really hard. I guess the next 8 are just off the top of my head and in no order. With some thought the order will change and some might drop out and some others might come in. Anyway, here we go: 1. Subdivisions 2. Time Stand Still 3. Freewill 4. Tom Sawyer 5. Limelight 6. Red Barchetta. 7. Big Money. 8. Distant Early Warning 9. Mystic Rythms 10. New World Man So many great songs from this era. I hate not including songs like Between the Wheels, Afterimage, Analog Kid, Natural Science, Losing It, Red Sector A all of HYF & all of Power Windows. What a great era!!! Todem
I absolutely love this World Premier show about Signals. Listening back to this interview and premier of the album, the sheer excitement and the bands real about face to move in a brand new fresh direction is stark. They really wanted to get out of their comfort zone. And in hindsight.....Terry was not on board. They had to move on from Broon and it is so apparent in this interview to me why they did. The were thinking about solo projects and writing a bunch of idea's on their own while on break after the massive world tour from the 800 lb gorilla known as Moving Pictures, and all of them going in different directions. And instead they made an eclectic soup with all their idea's and it was called Signals. I still view Signals as probably the second most important Rush album ever made in the evolution of the band we love. Only second to 2112. The band may not be as fond of the record as some of us fans, but my god man. It has aged so well. Just really a brilliant album.  Edited October 26, 2016 by Todem

Segue Myles
Oh god... All of PeW, MP, GUP and most of Signals and HYF. Yeah I can't even fathom rounding all this down to ten. It most definitely has Distant Early Warning, Limelight and Freewill...but after that...so many GREAT songs. Nothing off of Power Windows (Marathon would come close though, as would Grand Designs).
