  1. Ack, that's supposed to be "Where's My Thing," not "Leave That Thing Alone." Not a fan of the latter.
  2. 1. Between the Sun and Moon 2. Bravado 3. Show Don't Tell 4. The Pass 5. Dreamline 6. Animate 7. Leave That Thing Alone 8. Superconductor 9. Chain Lightning 10. Roll the Bones

  4. I've been listening to a lot of Blue Oyster Cult, lately, and Al Bouchard is damn good.
  5. I've found some clips from that concert on Youtube! The original five closed out the night with "Career of Evil," "The Red & the Black," and "(Don't Fear) the Reaper." Before that they had Allen Lanier up on the stage to help perform "In Thee."
  6. Yeah, I've decided to give all of their post-Fire of Unknown Origin albums a chance. Been hearing lots of good things about them, lately.
  7. Anthem, particularly those octave power chords and the ascending line between them.
  8. Speaking as someone who has only lived in North America, I much prefer British music when it comes to rock bands. They seem so much more adventurous. We've got Rush, the Doors, Talking Heads, Blue Oyster Cult, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and the Beach Boys, but the Brits produced the Beatles, Stones, Who, Zep, Floyd, Sabbath, Queen, Deep Purple, Yes, Moody Blues, King Crimson, Clash, Radiohead, and the list goes on and on.
  9. More and more I'm realizing how fortunate I was to witness that 40th anniversary concert. The original five hadn't played together in something like 27 years. Allen Lanier was dead less than a year later.
  10. Tangled Up in Blue. And I love the simplicity of Knockin' On Heaven's Door.
  11. Wasn't that the night the subway flooded & the city had blackouts? Super Storm Sandy hit October 29, 2012. The concert was November 5th, so, yeah, the city was still reeling from the effects of that storm. Didn't stop me, though! Looking this up, I now remember that it was the Best Buy Theater in NYC.
  12. I love the debut. So much great stuff. "Beautiful as a Foot" is so gorgeous, musically, that I can't help wishing it had different lyrics, though. Another favorite is "Before the Kiss, a Redcap." Reminds me of a more upbeat Grateful Dead.
