Disembodied Spirit
'The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald' after that, what else matters?I have a buddy who used to go to this sports bar near his apartment that had The Wreck on their jukebox. When he was ready to leave, he would put $5 in the Juke box, and play that song 10 times, and then go home. At least it wasn't 'let's get physical' by Olivia Neutered John.I worked in a record store in the late 80's and if any young punks came in the store near closing time we would putOb-La-Di, Ob-La-Da by the Beatles on repeat...they would last about 2 plays and they were gone..... rocket ignites
Well...two songs would be easy Natural Science and The Spirit of Radio... Would Another Brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd make sense to anyone? I've always loved that song. Nice call on The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Living on the tip of Lake Superior brings a bit of extra weight and magic to that song.
Digital Dad
Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me - Elton John Excellent! I love this song. When I was a boy I always thought this was The Beatles.I always thought the actual title was "Don't Let Your Son Go Down On Me." TOO SOON!!! I'm sure you've found it by now, but just in case: I love what Ringo brings to the table here. And the Hammond (?) is a nice sonic touch.

However, my song #5 would go to "Starless" - King Crimson or "And You and I" - YES It is so ridiculously hard to narrow it all down to 5 though.... could have had "Natural Science" or "Subdivions" or "Between The Wheels" or "La Villa" or "Vital Signs" in place of "Red Barchetta", "Time" or "Echoes" or "Mother" or "Dogs" or "Wish You were Here" in place of "Shine On", "Stairway" or "The Song Remains the Same" or "Kashmir" or "Achilles" in place of "Ten Years Gone", or "Anesthetize" or "A Smart Kid" or "Trains" or "Blackest Eyes" or "Buying New Soul" or "Luminol" or "The Raven That Refused to Sing" or "Ancestral" in place of "Arriving" and then even "Schizoid Man" or "Epitaph" or "Red" or "Fallen Angel" or "Frame By Frame" or "Close to the Edge" or "Roundabout" or "Yours Is No Disgrace" or "Awaken" or "Turn of the Century" or "Machine Messiah" in the 5 spot... lol
