  3. oh man, the memories... of the music, of this thread...
  4. Marie's the name of his latest flame Wooden Heart Devil in Disguise
  5. yes, I like their music. And they were easy on the eyes back during the MTV days, haha. PS. FIrst time I heard HE IS by Ghost, the guitar near the end of the song immediately reminded me of the guitar in Ordinary World.
  6. Very sorry for your loss. In the last few days of my Dad's life, I was with him constantly while he hung on. When I went home to sleep for a couple of hours, he died. Many choose to pass when they are alone to spare loved ones the pain. Remembering the good times and being grateful you had him in your life will comfort you...
  7. Happy Anniversary, Narps. Hope all is going well in your world.
  8. SORRY I AM LATE! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, EARL. I love reading your posts..
  9. Which album is that on? Parsley, Sage, rosemary and Thyme according to google.. Haha. I had to look it up. Summer of 1966 it was out, I love it!
  10. I was a fan as soon as debut Chicago Transit Authority was launched. saw the original lineup with Terry Kath twice in Toronto. I posted hear before that my friend and I jumped a fence and got up to their limousines for autographs. Loved their older stuff. They seemed strong at every position IMO.. JAmes Pankow was leader of horn section and wrote great songs.. Robert Lamm wrote great tunes too... He was married to actress Karen Lamm for a while if my memory is correct, that's just some gossip thrown in... I thought Danny Seraphine was a great drummer too.. If you want juicy inside details, read his autobiography.. Just some of my thoughts.
  11. Keith Sitting on a chair... Not to be taken away
  12. How can you mend a broken heart by the Bee Gees
  13. Could be a rerun in this thread... This song In my head a lot these days. Cry your eyes out by Les Emmerson
  14. Thanks for sharing. ;) you know me.....i will share. even if you hate what you hear :laughing guy: Mick Speaking of production... All his albums since Flaming Pie have a "sound"... Kinda compressed and almost ... humble? They don't sound big and over the top like Off the Ground or Press to Play. Not sure how to describe them. Its almost lo-fi but it's not... I'm probably making no sense. Can't put my finger on it. i see what you mean. and it works better on some albums than it does on others. i really want A Memory Almost full remaster. that's the only one i can say was master way to hot. Mick That's one that immediately comes to mind. Good songs but odd production. "Faul" is quite odd. Earl, I love that you understand "Faul".... Signed, Billy Shears
  15. I work at a place where having a sense of humour is a good strategy... When people ask me how it's going, I often sing " loving every minute of it". Sometimes I sing "everybody's working for the weekend" too. That's good for a laugh
  16. Probably not. I'm guessing Earl is old school and puts the damn phone away and actually watches shows with his own two eyes. The way experiencing a concert should be. Hahaha! Absolutely buddy! Although I will confess I did take some video of GHOST at The Warfield. I was fifth row stage left in the balcony. I had to film the pyro and the gold "mummy dust" confetti. Also the nuns handing out wafers to the crowd. GHOST is such a much better headliner. "HE IS!" COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU! "He Is" makes me tear up. I remember listening to this song as I was driving to Reno to see Goose for GHOST. I was going over the beautiful Donner Summit. Perfect weather. "He Is" was blasting. The song with the beautiful view of nature at that moment in time made me cry. Going through my divorce back then probably didn't help. I was weak and vulnerable. Perhaps Ghost helped get me though my pain of love lost. I don't know. Sorry. Rambling. I think Tobias has one of the most beautiful voices in rock. Yup, He Is makes me cry too... Tough song to listen to when one is down in dumps... And weak. Understand exactly what you said, Earl.
  17. He Is by Ghost... that's an amazing song... can't get it out of my head.
  18. I posted this before... If you hold up the mirror to the drum on Sgt pepper cover, it tells you the date Paul died.... September 11, 1966. I ONE IX HE DIE... The first episode of the Monkees tv show was on September 12, 1966. I watched it. They had a breaking news flash that one of the Beatles died... News at 11. There is NO denying this news flash happened. It was immediately covered up - nothing was said at 11.
  19. I wonder if Jannick's guitar is turned on during the concert... He runs through Eddie's legs well and Bruce has fun fake hitting him... So he serves a purpose, haha
  20. I saw Ghost and Maiden in Toronto last night with my son... My 60 year old ears heard a lot of distortion so maybe the sound system was at fault? Maybe it's me.. I was disappointed Maiden kept same song list as last year... They could have changed a couple of the oldies, I had no issue with the book of souls songs... A bit of a mail it in performance from them in my eyes.. Before this concert, I knew nothing about Ghost... I liked their music and energy... I don't get the masks.. Or the dark references.. Just a gimmick? My opinion.
  21. Thank you kindly everyone for the nice wishes...
  22. I saw Gordon Lightfoot a couple of years ago.. Much as I love him and him being the Canadian icon that he is, i felt bad for him.. He gave it his best, but his age truly showed... On top of that, It also made me realize that we are all going to go through this aging process, that was sad to grasp...
