Boston shot their wad after the first record IMO. I enjoy both Don't Look Back and Third Stage but they have nothing on the debut. Mick3 points

Genesis (sharp decline after 1977, descent into my taste abyss after about 1982) Yes (Going For the One through Drama, then again disappearing off the bottom of the page after Big Generator) Actually, thinking about it, most of my choices are bands I started out really high on, but then as their discography got longer, my interest/attention span just waned. That's true of Genesis above, and it's true of Jethro Tull, Iron Maiden, King's X, Deep Purple, Megadeth, Metallica, AC/DC, lately of Drive-by Truckers (maybe they'll surprise me next time!), etc., etc. Rush, in that I think T4E is their weakest album, but that's not a "period" of bad albums. I can't really think of many examples where, once lost, I picked up a band's thread later on.2 points

Renaissance is one for me. I love love Turn Of The Cards and Scheherazade, and I do also enjoy Prolgue quite a bit, but none of their other albums are really very interesting to me, even Ashes Are Burning which steals the top spot for many fans.2 points

i'm just coming up with more.......it makes me realize most bands are up and down....like duh, lol Lately Green Day has become this. The trilogy was meh. Rev Radio was meh......The latest one. I ADORE it but i get why'd you'd call it not what you want. Mick2 points

Same. It's hard to pinpoint what is lacking after, but they sure make up for it knowing nothing sounded like them BEFORE2 points

He's not band per se but........Springsteen. oh my god dude pick a quality Standard. some of the 2000's releases are Rough. Not a fan of whenever he thinks just an album of guitar and harmonica are a good idea either, lol Mick2 points

For me this applies reaally well to Radiohead. i'm not a fan of the first 3 (Yes even OK computer and The Bends lol) Then Kid A happens.......i'm all in. However from there it is and up and down journey. Mick2 points

oddly even though they still are Flawed........i find journey the most consistant of those and they kept it up for longer than any of those before falling off a bit. Styx was What da f**k before Grand Illusion for me. than they went back to what da f**k, lol 70's Kansas is great. 80's is.....what it is, lo Journey after the first 3. Kept up quality till and including Trial by Fire (some people will debate Raised but i love it, lol) Mick2 points

i was never thrilled about the singles for DOT at all. Then i heard the album and really enjoyed it. But it didn't last there are a number of skip worthy songs on that album and it has some realy great tracks too. but the skips almost out weigh them for me, However A view......thank album is fantastic and i love it. i can't complain about DT when their like the comback kids to me, lol Mick2 points

I feel stupid for overlooking the most obvious for me: Sonata Arctica Oh god, the last four albums range from a 7/10 at best to EEEEWWWWW2 points

Queen is one for me. 80's Queen Really Pink Floyd. Not really a fan of their early Acid/pshyidelia stuff. They don't really Start for me until Meddle. Dream theater. Huge fan but they've had some deadly lows. Iron Maiden. They've made the same album for 22 years. i enjoy it but it's the same album., lol. Machine Head........fans know, lol Metallica. god damn a some of their stuff is the bad stuff of urban legend. Segue will kill me. and this is just my feeling but......Biffy Clyro. the past 2 and a half albums have been veering off for me. With the last one being pretty bland. I'll think of more. cause i love being Negative, lol Mick2 points

"It is blocked! It is blocked! It is blocked!" Joe Tessitore's call of LSU's PAT attempt to close the FSU game. After recovering a fumble on their own 3, marching the field, and scoring the touchdown, LSU needed the point after to tie and send the game into OT. Not to be.2 points

I wish! Haha! Although then I would be at lunch in a cheap pizza place with a friend and I sneaking rum into our cokes to "celebrate". I lost my keys in his car and therefore could not unlock my cash drawer when I returned to work smelling like a distillery. My supervisor fortunately thought it was funny and let me go home. I could have gone drinking legally anywhere, I'm not sure why we thought this was a super plan?? I think because this friend was always pretty cheap and said he would buy me lunch but all he wanted to pay for was cheap pizza !2 points

I am catching up and watching some clips on You Tube. It seems to me that during Working Man, Mr. Grohl is looking out at the guys and thinking "I thought you guys were retired?!"...breath...it can't last much longer...keep breathing... I thought it sounded great!2 points

This song I mentioned in my senior year high school yearbook photo. Me and my buddies would get together most Saturdays, senior year ( and most likely junior year ) and party.2 points

Loved the whole thing. Loved Wolfgang VH who did a great job of emulating his Dad and loved Geddy and Alex and their set. All in all their playing was fantastic, warts and all. There may have been flaws but I didn't really notice them. The 'overall' result was great. Sometimes when music is played, there are a flaws but if you play through them then it's the overall result that matters. And that's what I got out of it. In fact, I thought the lineup of acts was a nice contrast of styles. Britpop, pop, rock, prog rock, punk - a nice bit of everything. And it looked like the songs played by all where a balance of what Taylor would have wanted played and songs that had a bit of meaning. I'm guessing 2112, Working Man and YYZ were what Taylor would have wanted for the most part. Loved James Gang having never heard them. Only heard a bit of Joe Walsh. Loved the Jeff Buckley covers because his album Grace is a fave of mine. Nice to hear Supergrass again. Those Crooked Vultures were fun and I thought Josh Homme sang well in contrast to some comments on the 'Net. In fact, there were a lot of references to artists that had passed away that was nice. Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Freddy Mercury, Amy Winehouse, Eddie VH, Neil P and maybe others I can't remember.2 points

That's pretty much spot on! Although as I get older the pizza is more important than the booze! But yeah that was back in the day before there were any chain restaurants or nice bars in the area, we were making our own fun but I think just made a scene instead1 point
