I GOT IT! My local record store had their copies already. They weren't displaying them yet, but I just casually asked if they had it, and the guy pulled one out for me. Haven't really gotten a chance to listen it all yet, but what I've heard is gravy. Edited by Dscrapre

Such a good album. Listened twice at work today. I just about cried when I listened to the title track. All of the songs are super solid, but I just can't get past Luminol. Holy crap what a song! The bass, the guitar, everything is just so good. Seriously, one of the best songs Steven Wilson has ever done, PT or not. Edited by Dscrapre

Mine's not arrived yet... :( :eh:  :boohoo:

Neither has mine! :rage:

But... I'm in the U.S. ...

Mine is "preparing for dispatch"! :o

:givebeer:

Mine is "in transport in NY." I'll see it by April.

Maybe Denzel Washington of the NY transport police can escort it, as long as John Travolta doesn't turn up... :hi:

Mine arrived today...strange considering it takes 2 weeks for every other order from Burning Shed (well anything that comes from the UK/Europe in general) to arrive at my mailbox here in the US. Anyway, the deluxe edition is well worth the purchase. The artwork, the stories, everything for that matter are fantastic. The BluRay Stereo/5.1 mix sounds amazing too, it's definitely an album that's meant to be listened on the big speakers. I haven't listened to the demos CD yet, but going through the liner notes, it's interesting to note that the demo version of Luminol was recorded when Niko Tsonev was still part of the live band.

I just learned how to play the title track on guitar and my sister is learning the piano part as we speak, she seemed hesitant at first when I asked if she would learn it until she heard me blasting the song and she asked, "What are the chords?" That's how I know an album is good when it gets my family involved :) Edited by default236

I gotta check this out after reading all this..

Anyone else drawing connections between this and Clockwork Angels? A concept album where the songs all stand alone but are also connected in a way.. Last song is a reflective piece about life (and involves a garden).. A song called 'the watchmaker' with up front bass and mini solo..

I Haven't really followed Porcupine/Wilson but I have 'up the downstair' and enjoy it! Gotta get more into his stuff.. Gonna get this one any way!
