The Owl Posted February 27, 2013 Share Posted February 27, 2013 Initial listen... Suffice to say I loved it, not a dull track every song amazing... Too early to pick favorites now, but early calling it the title track, and the watchmaker are topping my lists... I will also say that I'm more impressed with this after one listen than I was with Grace for Drowning.... And Iove that record...and after a few mor spins will probably rule this album better than GfD.. However no song here rises above the masterpiece that was "Deform to form a Star" but close... Those are initial impressions, things could change... P.S. Theo f***ing Travis!!! I've been a fan of his a while as a member of "The Tangent"... But his work on this album is beyond compare.. Sure, there is a heavy early 70's Jazz/Prog influence (I'm thinking Lizard era King Crimson) but this album still sounds awesome. Because that's where so many of the sounds on this album are pludered from... and I don't mean that in a disrespectful way.
