Does Clockwork Angels (the song) have some of the 12/8 groove and vibe of One Of These Days by Pink Floyd? It seemed to me that it might be headed in that direction from the first preview clip. I am a guitarist but I'll have to break it down in a compositional sense later, I kind of just want to explore some more of the other ones now. Not trying to dodge your question, I just don't want to tell you something before I've really picked it apart. Maybe others can tell you. This song is cool as shit though and it's a perfect example of why I hate the attitude that "If music is good it shouldn't have to grow on you..." Bullshit, I didn't listen to it repeatedly to try to make myself like it, it just takes time to really appreciate and absorb some things and the payoff is usually greater because of it. The title track is my early favorite, although Carnies and BU2B2 are very cool! (and the last track is very ethereal) I'm probably going to wait until I get my copy and crank it through my speakers before I give it a good critical listen...I'm not sure I like it more than S&A, but one pass through crappy iPod headphones isn't a good listen. I like every song and that's something I haven't really been able to say since GUP. Well, BU2B2 seems a little pointless, but it's short and I don't hate it. The Garden really is something special.
