  3. That was the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen in my life -- -- -- LA Times critics THANKYOU for nothing, go dance to your bloody crap.
  4. QUOTE (LittleRed @ Sep 20 2012, 08:39 AM) I am a long time Rush fan. I really enjoy all their material. I believe one of the reasons why they are still rocking is because they have made changes over the years. CA is not Xanadu or JL but it is just as good in it's own way. My dd and I have loved it from the beginning. Every single song is great IMHO. We listen to all Rush albums and we feel this is one of their best. We loved seeing it live and were ecstatic they played so many songs from the album. Well said!! JL is one of my favourite Rush songs, but oh well, they chose not to include it, not the end of the world.. I'm just so ecstatic that we have such a brilliant new album to listen to, and that LIVE it'll be even more awesome
  5. Yup!! I hope he'll give us a terrific one to finish it properly!!
  6. Last year .. .. .... ... yeah I've only managed to see them this recently... curses for only becoming a fan from 2008
  7. yeah you're onto something. Plus, I get the feel also that musically The Garden sounds like a song feels like a cycle, dunno if that has relevance
  8. completely NOT skippable for me. It's a song packed with feeling and power for me

    F*** U, Usher!

QUOTE (Lerxster @ Jul 9 2012, 06:42 PM) Usher just lost his step-son. That should be enough to end this thread. Especially since it's RR's fault for picking the wrong week. oh.

    F*** U, Usher!

    Yeah F**K you Usher x 1000000.
  11. If CA, Anarchist and Carnies had been on there it would have had my vote. I think it's the best three row that they've done since MP IMO. maybe I should have gone for Sub, Analog, Chem... but I went for 7Cities, Wreckers and Headlong Flight instead.... maybe regret that?
  12. QUOTE (Tony R @ Jun 29 2012, 02:04 AM) So basically we can blame Geddy Lee for the clumsy lyrics. --- --- --- Tony R
  13. What a load of sh*t. hilarious at that. Interesting to have such a negative review though
  14. Dunno if this has been already posted before, but: good interview. Not a lot of insight, but great as per usual. cheers to Cygnus-x1 site. if anyone dares bash around about when he says 'sounds muffled when it's sung' this is coming to them: -- -- -

  17. Hooooray a great thread these trollllls make me and we just sit there, to the slaughter --but-- it's Freewill dudes. Let them say what they want to say, All that you can do is wish them well...
  18. QUOTE (zappafrank @ Jun 26 2012, 07:10 PM) I think I have. I listened to it 3 times the 1st day I got it, then a few times after that, and I think I burned myself out. This has happened before with me, where I get so into an album that I immerse myself in it, but then peter out. I'm not getting the rush (...) as when I 1st heard it. I think I'm also picking up on why some people aren't so pleased with it sonically. I can still consider it one of Rush's best albums, but at the moment it's more as a statement of "fact" (popular opinion) than current experience. I even put on VT last week and it blew me away after sitting dormant for a while, to the point where I was saying to myself, "F the new album, people need to stop hating on VT!" I'll turn in my fan badge whenever you want me to. I f**king well haven't

    The Garden

    this thread sucks balls.
  20. QUOTE (CantStopThinkingBig @ Jun 26 2012, 07:27 PM) Lately he's singing like he's got a mouth full of cotton. At first I thought he was only doing this on live performances, but he's doing it all over CA. Parts of Carnies come to mind... but it's in just about every song. Maybe they really do need to start sticking to instrumentals... Pretty sure it's mostly because he's straining his voice.

    The Anarchist

QUOTE (CantStopThinkingBig @ Jun 26 2012, 08:25 PM) the first time I read the tracklist I thought it was called "The Antichrist". Sounds like a title right up Neil's alley that made me guffaw haha.

    The Anarchist

QUOTE (RUDT @ Jun 27 2012, 06:45 AM) This song is doing nothing for me, it's no more than a good rock song. ...it is much more than that
