I guess Newark is out of question.

Echoes Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Meh. I expected a bit of an inflation but $170-$200 is pretty outrageous, even for Rush.
Chrysalii Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 $91, $66, and $46.50 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo according to the First Niagara Center website. That's less than I thought it would be.
J2112YYZ Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 QUOTE (Chrysalii @ Apr 19 2012, 08:08 PM) $91, $66, and $46.50 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo according to the First Niagara Center website. That's less than I thought it would be. That's less than I thought it would be to. I figured the highest priced seats would be $100 or a little more before the fees but $91 for the best seats isn't too bad at all.

EmotionDetector Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 QUOTE (Ya_Big_Tree @ Apr 19 2012, 04:49 PM) Ya I expect to get hosed. I always go this tour won't be any different. Yep...that's pretty much all there is to it. I plan to be there, so I've got to pay up!
Checkster2112 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I was given 2 4th row VIP tickets for S&A in ST. Louis by my uncle as a graduation present. A kingly gift.
PolarizeMe Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Ticket prices for the Newark show are $148, $92.50, $67.50, and $37.50 but that's not counting the extra fees that Ticketmaster or Prudential Center add on to each ticket.
drbirdsong Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Don't care. I got my wife tickets to Barry Manilow for July in Nashville. Charge me, dammit, I'm going.
JohnnyBlaze Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Apr 20 2012, 03:52 AM) Best value I ever had at a Rush show was back in 2007 on the S&A Tour. $80 TOTAL - 10th Row Centre on the Floor (in London, Ontario). My best was 2nd row Counterparts tour right in front of Lifeson. 30 or 35 bucks. Looking back, it seems like another universe.
zogoto Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Seems like this soon-to-be-graduate won't be making it this leg. Pretty big bummer.
darth by tor Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) Top price tickets for the Brooklyn show are $191.35 including fees. F**k you Ticketbastard!! I'll use Stubbhub again, if you wait till the last minute you can often pick up good seats for less than face value. I recently got Opeth tickets for $10 below face, they came out at $30 each, TM wanted $50 including fees! Edited April 20, 2012 by darth by tor

Kelly D Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I relied on friends, for the most part, to get me tickets for the Time Machine Tour. I have no idea how TicketMaster works. If you wanna be up close, is the only way to do it to go through the VIP package?

I have my budget for this tour set and rather than seeing 5 or so very expensive shows I've decided to make each one special in it's own way. So I'm hitting opening night which will cost a big chunk of my budget.. my hometown and then one more which I havent decided on yet... possibly Philly, Houston or Toronto.
CrossedSignals Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Clearly a legendary, long-lived band like Rush can charge whatever they want (and I'd probably pay it), but still, $200+ for a couple concert tickets is a slightly scary prospect
CrossedSignals Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 QUOTE (CrossedSignals @ Apr 21 2012, 07:10 PM) Clearly a legendary, long-lived band like Rush can charge whatever they want (and I'd probably pay it), but still, $200+ for a couple concert tickets is a slightly scary prospect Still, it's probably cheaper than hitting up an opera or seeing a Broadway show, and I'd pick Rush over those options any day. So in that light, I guess $200 isn't that crazy.
