  1. Totally agree, it boasts all the hallmarks of classic prog yet still sounds fresh.
  2. You are correct, its been leaked and its jaw dropping.
  3. My wife and I had a blast last night, firstly its great having Rush play a show a mere fifteen minute subway ride from my front door! There was a SNAFU with getting people through the doors, first you had to line up and get the security wand and pat down and then line up again to get your ticket checked, I couldn't understand why they couldn't have done that in the same line. Teething problems I suppose as the venue's only been open a month. By a stoke of luck section 217 was curtained off and we ended up in a lower section with a great view. Loved the first set, I actually felt quiet emotional when they broke into "The Body Electric" as I thought back to listening to that album on my walkman in my teens and wishing I could see it live and here it was 22 years later. As a few others have remarked Vocally Geddy was on fire, hitting every high note. Really enjoyed the string ensemble, they were a great addition to the sound, The Clockwork material was fantastic especially, Caravan, The Wreckers, Headlong Flight Seven Cities and The Garden. Loved Alex's impromptu dance routine during his guitar fail in "2112" I imagine he thought, "well these people paid to see a show, so godammit I'll give them one!"
  4. Stubhub is great and you can "shop with confidence" as they say. I will be using them again in the next couple of days for for the Brooklyn show, If wait until the last minute you may even pick up a bargain. I got great seats for Roger Waters Wall show a couple of years ago for nearly $30 BELOW face value!
  5. Just over thirteen hours. EST is five hours ahead of the UK, so for you they will hit the stage at 12.30am.
  6. I love it, makes me think that it was recorded live "off the floor"
  7. QUOTE (samurai1993 @ Jun 8 2012, 09:38 AM) QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Jun 8 2012, 09:26 AM) I'm guessing The Beatles have played those two chords two at some point, therefore The Beatles are death metal. this^ LOL!! Very true it all comes from somewhere, In fact a lot of the chord progressions on CA remind me of The Who.
  8. True. While I love both albums, Ghost Reveries is their peak for me.
  9. Heritage does indeed rule less King Diamond more King Crimson.
  10. For me, its the most moving Rush track in decades. The strings at the begining remind me of the late great John Barry and the whole song has a melancolic yet uplifiting feel. After just one listen I woke up the next day with the melody in my head. LOVE IT.
  11. Not a stretch, same two chords...FACT. And yes....sigh I know Opeth probably aren't exaclty on Lerxt's I-Pod, but Its fun to speculate, right?!!
  12. Lazy morning with my guitar and CA, I noticed that the first two Chords in The Anarchist are the same that Opeth used to open "The Grand Conjuration" Proof that Rush are Metal!!
  13. Love, love, LOVE IT!! I just picked up my guitar and worked out how to play 80% of the song, in a matter of minutes. Like many of the most memorable songs its incredible simple but so effective, very uplifting and moving.
  14. My fan pack was waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home tonight, What a fantastic package and an AMAZING sounding album!! Cranking clockwork in tha hood baby!!!
