1. Or have an admin delete it. I can't seem to do it myself.
2. You may be right. Judging by the dates these videos were uploaded, it caught fire a month later. There IS a video that was uploaded, from the same people, the day AFTER the fire, talking about continuing the renovation. So, hopefully they decide to do so.
3. I remember a couple years back, I shared a video regarding LeStudio getting vandalized by a group of punks. And then is suspiciously caught fire back in August. (At this point, I'm sure everyone here knows the story.) BUT...I just came across a handful of RECENT videos, from this past summer / fall, of this small group of people who have been slowly cleaning and fixing up the building! I hope they manage to re-open it in the near future. Maybe not as a recording studio - but even if they manage to make it into a museum of sorts, that would be fantastic. 4. I'll post more later this evening :) And yes - the arena was completely filled!
5. Just working a bunch...taking care of my son...all that fun single dad stuff, haha!
6. I JUST saw Tom Petty in concert in Baltimore, 2 months before he passed. It was my first and only time seeing him in concert - and I'm so glad that I decided to go (on a WHIM, no less.). The show was incredible, and I definitely would have seen him again if ever came back around. Here's some photos a got from the show. I have more on my FB page.
7. So...wow...it has been forever (and a day) since I last checked in on here! Looks like I have a little catching up to do. Even though I keep in touch with a few of you on Facebook - how's everyone been??
8. Something that I have thought about (and I'm sure lots of here have, as well), is: I wonder what direction Rush's music would have gone in, had the band NOT taken a 5-year hiatus, due to Neil losing his family?? What would the subsequent TOURS have been like? It's interesting to think about, because obviously, the frame-of-mind that the band was in, both musically and mentally, was MUCH different after the hiatus, as opposed to before the hiatus. Of course, I'm very pleased and fortunate that the band DID come back in 2002 - stronger than ever, and between Vapor Trails and the R40 tour, they gave us way more than we could have ever asked for...considering the circumstances. Still makes you wonder...how different the Rush of TODAY would have been, if things turned out entirely different after the Test For Echo tour...
9. Not a cover by a "professional" band by any means...but check out this cover of "Comfortably Numb". These guys must have just heard the song once, bought instruments, and thought "We got this..."
10. I'd place the "Twilight" series in that spot, personally...
11. Wow. What an awful year for so far for losing amazing talent. :( http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/family-british-actor-alan-rickman-star-stage-harry-36283485
12. CLEARLY is the mid-section of the 2nd set...Jacob's Ladder, Hemispheres, Cygnus X-1, CTTH, and Xanadu. Ok - well the entire 2nd set was pretty much epic - but that particular section of the...KILLER! Just MY opinion... ;)
13. O.M.G. I'm looking back at some of the posts I made on that forum...what was I, effing 12????? (I was in my late-teens, but my god...LOL)
14. Well now...isn't THIS thread quite the Debbie Downer...
15. This is probably the most energetic live recording of Subdivisions since "A Show of Hands", imo
16. 2112 Live in Toronto, 1997 Part 1 https://www.youtube....h?v=0bT1n6AfwGg Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auBH174-Gn0 Enjoy! ;)
17. During 2112 on ASoH, Alex's guitar changes between black and white a TON of times, lol. The whole intro, his guitar is white in all the wide stage shots...but then black during the close-ups... You'll spot even more...trust me, haha! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDjx6aM-7VM
18. Alex definitely played the lead parts of Jacob's Ladder a little differently than the studio and Exit...Stage Left versions. BUT, in all honesty, all 3 members of the band ALWAYS play certain parts of songs a little differently than the original versions. Neil plays The Spirit of Radio differently live, Geddy plays the synth solos to Subdivisions a little differently live, and of course Alex does the same. It's nothing out of the ordinary. Either way, Jacob's Ladder, especially this recording of it, is AMAZING. Can't wait for November 20th!! :haz:
19. Listening to it now...just finished the title track, and about to listen to the second half of the album. So far, IT IS AMAZING!! :haz:
20. Wow. Just...WOW. :( R.I.P. Mr. Craven. You were legendary. http://www.imdb.com/news/ni58952515?ref_=hm_nw_tp1
21. Jacob's Ladder, Hemispheres, and Xanadu - since they were literally the last 3 songs on my "MUST SEE LIVE" bucket list...and I finally got to see them played in Philly.
