invisible airwave Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Saw the last half of True Grit (2010) on my first viewing of that new Epix pay channel. Saw the whole thing when it came out in theatres before.
The Cat 3 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 "What Ever Happened to Aunt Alice?" (1969) This was on TCM last night and was pretty good. Starred Ruth Gordon and Geraldine Page. A bit dated, but still pretty entertaining. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065206/
Lost In Xanadu Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Does the first 15-20 minutes of Season of the Witch count? I couldn't take it - ditched my wife and went into the bedroom to watch the NE/Den game.
Ya_Big_Tree Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I just finally saw Scream 4 I dunno why I was avoiding it. It was really good. Way better than Scream 2 and 3.
HowItIs Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 QUOTE (invisible airwave @ Jan 18 2012, 10:42 AM) The Ides of March Oh, I hear that's really good - was it?

Yeah, it's one of my top 5 favorites of '11 thus far. Haven't been to theatres much due to funds so I'm catching up on Redbox kiosks. I'd love to see it get an adapted screenplay (co-written by Clooney) nod since it's based on a play. Great writing on this film.

The Mighty Dudad Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 In theaters? Hugo (very good, but overrated) At home? Winter's Bone (very good but depressing)
goose Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, with the lad. Had a good . Enjoyed the deleted scenes afterward.
softfilter Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Jan 21 2012, 01:02 AM) Insidious What did you think of it Test? I thought it was decent but not as good or scary as some of the reviews I read hyped it.

I thought it was decent but not as good or scary as some of the reviews I read hyped it. Some scenes were creepy-cool but overall nothing special. I liked the scene where the guy is checking out the ultra-violet light.
BeOhBe Bob Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 In Time...Justin Timberlake, and the guy from Big Bang, Johnny Galecki.... It was ok for $1.50 you earn your time, spend your time, waste your time...literally Money isn't the thing anymore, in this movie? Literally you earn time. Cup of coffee? costs 10 minutes. "What the hell it was 5 minutes last week!" Hell I can be at my favorite Starbucks that long just chatting with the cutie Baristas
invisible airwave Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 QUOTE (goose @ Jan 21 2012, 12:41 AM) Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, with the lad. Had a good . Enjoyed the deleted scenes afterward. I fell asleep for a few minutes opening day in theatres watching that, no joke. Worst of the 6 SW movies hands down. Shame on you, Lucas. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo My 1st trip to the theatres in 3 months. 50/50 was last one. I'm only watching movies I've highly anticipated in theatres to save money in this rough economy and leave the rest to Redbox. Gotta play catch up with the Oscar contenders.
garbo Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 "We Need to Talk About Kevin" Tilda for all the awards.
invisible airwave Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 The Descendants Alex 'my favorite writer/director' Payne is 5 for 5.
