  1. Surprised i still have my password..Some names are familiar others, not so much.. Hello one and all!!! I recently attended Jon Anderson and The Paul Green rock Academy concert my hometown Canton,Ohio Palace Theater beautiful old movie house opened in 1926. Surprised how much fun it was and pretty damn good these kids were and Jon's voice was in top form on the old Yes classics!
  2. I'm a big Bruce fan and think it's cool Ged respects Springsteen..
  3. That's ok, I don't need another long winded travelogue...
  4. If you loved Goodnight Moon and If You Give A Mouse a Cookie, this book is for you (though there are a few more Rush references awkwardly thrown in.) It is a silly concept on the fifth grade reading level.. But, I'm sure it could make the top 10 Scholastic books of the month. (#8 perhaps)
  5. He was talking to the cameras.. all of us! ;) ;) Actually, there might be some truth to the Cleveland comment - I think it was Gene Simmons who said that Cleveland and Detroit had the most best, most dedicated fans KISS came from the NYC area, but they didn't write "Manhattan Rock City" :D And Ian Hunter says of his song titled Cleveland Rocks: " . . . the inspiration for 'Cleveland Rocks' goes back to the old days when people used to make fun of Cleveland. Cleveland was 'uncool' and LA and NYC were 'cool'. I didn't see it that way. Lotta heart in Cleveland . I'm sure that in the early days, RUSH had some good experiences in places like Cleveland and Detroit - as did KISS - esp when the "cool" cities were shunning them Truth... David Bowie kicked off his Ziggy Stardust tour in Cleveland OH... Said Cleveland & Detroit one of the few American cities that "get and understood his music.." And birthplace of The Dead Boys ... IMHO the best and most honest band to come out of the punk scene Don't forget Pere Ubu really stood out from the crowd musically and unique live performer to say the least! :D

  7. Years ago, I seen John Mellencamp "Lonesome Jubilee " tour at Cleveland. Half way through the song Check It Out, John stopped singing halted the band. Lead guitarist came over and talked to him.. Told audience he wrote to many damn words and forgot the rest of it, then started over.. Thought that was a hilarious spontaneous moment. Nah, read newspaper review next day, he did the same shtick at Toledo night before. KISS doing the same banter on stage "great crowd" every night is nothing shocking. Gosh, I hope Geddy wasn't just going through the motions on Time Machine Cleveland gig when he said "Greatest audience ever!" Kinda proud of that accomplishment... ;)
  8. It was a embarrassing scholastic book club 7th grade level reading assignment.... But the illustrations in the book, wonderful!
  9. Yes' it's finally getting tiresome to listen to live. Tom Sawyer been a  for many tours now...
  10. The Clock Work stop at Cleveland only the lower bowl and floor sold out, but I guess they only had 10-11,000 available tickets for concert. So it was possible they considered it "sold out" The crowd that night had lukewarm enthusiasm for most of the show until the encore set 2112 etc... I enjoyed it immensely although surrounded in zombies... I'm not completely convinced that they will skip Cleveland and believe a second leg might emerge after a extended break from first. After all they did this sort of thing before, Time Machine believe Columbus was listed as the only Ohio stop ( possibly Cincinnati also can't remember) And then of course Cleveland was honored with being first US filmed release concert for the band.
  11. I just seem to recall a lot of the talk on here being about how surprised some people were at how a lot of the venues had section tapered off, seats moved from higher up to lower bowl (which happened to my group in Pittsburgh). People were pointing at touring frequency as a potential reason, but overall (couple years removed from Time Machine) and not necessarily oversaturation of specific markets. Many were whining about the set list on Clock Work Angels tour also as a reason for not going.. Personally I loved it!
  12. I've watched both I've been running and The Loser enjoy both for historical value. However don't think there very good songs BUT Rush plays them well!!! If that makes sense.. ;)

    Worst Rush Album

RTB, Use to be HYF but over the years it's worn me down to appreciation except for Tai Shan & High Water worse Rush songs ever...
  14. Heart has had personnel changes over the years and they managed it. The guys in KISS have always been assholes. That's just all there is to it. And remember the MTV special when (Ace & Peter) joined the "current" line up at the time on stage and played together. That was the start of the very first reunion tour plans. All seemed to get along fine for that ocassion. Why couldn't they just once put on a brave face for this special event?
  15. Memories fading with age but there's a few that still stand out on the plus & negative side. Rush Signals tour Richfield Coliseum still ranks for me as one of there best concerts in the 15 times I've seen them in the Cleveland area since 1980. Just don't want to dwell on it to much cause i could probably name a half dozen more!! :P Others, Yes Big Generator tour was excellent, John Cougar Mellencamp Lonesome Jubilee, U2 Unforgettable Fire I thought the band was at there best not yet but on the brink of world overexposure... ... Negative Van Halen Fair Warning , they were trashed when they came on stage played terrible Roth mumbling stumbling on stage threatening to fire the lighting crew. Then I seen Halen following year Diver Down and complete opposite really great concert.
  16. Be it as it may, I agree with a poster on here who said Clock Work Angels better suited as a graphic novel. As a science fiction novel I found the storyline rather shallow and the writing clunky abit awkward. Readable but I thought it could've been better.
  17. What has been frustrating for me with last two times I seen them (TM & CWA) tours due to financial considerations and the luck of the draw had to sit farther away among the casual fans which really dampens your enthusiasm energy level.. When everyone around you act like there attending a classical music performance by the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall.. sssh QUIET!!! :tsk: :eyeroll:
  18. The Sunrise show the entire night was like a library. It was bizzare how dead most were. This was Cleveland...
  19. I would say mostly bored with polite applause .. Embarrassing since Time Machine concert at the "Q" in Cleveland was such a huge success what a difference a year made...
  20. I was more then surprised by the luke warm response of the "different" set list of the Clock Work tour. And really thought it would've been embraced more enthusiastically by the long time fans such as myself wanting deeper or rarely played cuts. Still have a hard time accepting the obvious most want the concert staples only... And don't veer to far off the path with selections from eras not as radio classic rock friendly.
  21. One solid example of how wrong you are..... Road To Perdition by Max Allan Collins which was the basis of the movie staring Tom Hanks the book & movie adaptation both excellent.
  22. Geez reading the majority of post on here glad I had to work. I really wouldn't wanted to see the documentary segment at movie theater and rather of seen the whole C A concert set list instead. But looking forward to the blu ray/cd package for home use which will be far more enjoyable... :)
  23. Am i the only one who feels a tinge of sadness when seeing a GR 79 reply? The TRF Eyore.. "Probably just as well, it's no good anyway" :( :boohoo:
  24. I wish... It's on a Monday night and I work on the afternoon shift :( Plus it's playing locally at Tinseltown in North.Canton. :sigh:
  25. Real cool.. the Cotton Bowl pics that often heard Rush felt awkward playing at a fest venue that size at the time. Looked like Alex & Ged were having a good time at least..
