I have lost friends to Alzheimer's, seen the shell that remains, and wow, Julianne Moore is perfect. Chilling, but she gives itba warmth and depth that this subject matter deserves. Also, being a huge 30 Rock fan, seeing Alec Baldwin and Julianne Moore together again is lovely! And the rest of the cast do well. Kristen Stewart gives a wonderful performance as the slightly rebellious daughter. 9/10Yeah, I thought you'd like it. And Juliane Moore IS perfect in it. Watched it again with my family. goose Posted February 9, 2016 Share Posted February 9, 2016 I watched, "The Deer Hunter" last night. Amazing film! If you have never seen this classic you definitely should. Powerful Understate, much? Haha...yeah it is devastating! And on a slight side note...young Meryl Streep is weirdly HOT!She isn't weirdly hot, shes beautiful. How can you not love her after watching Defending Your Life? Such an underrated romcom from Albert Brooks. That ending to Deer Hunter drives me to tears every time. I have a feeling a certain scene in Boyz N The Hood is a nod to that since the character names rhyme. I for the most enjoy watching type casted actors in different roles. It usually shows a depth to their acting.Likewise. I used to live there for a few years back in the 90s but never ran into him. I have a few friends that have bumped into him multiple times. I enjoy his work, I never judge an artists work by what they do in life UNLESS it affects the quality of their work. And Cruise has never really stepped a foot wrong for me. The Master - Talky, a bit overacted by Mr. Pheonix, but visually stunning. The Ladykillers - Coen Brothers remake was much better then I remember.
